They're both still gonna be in the game, without a doubt. I mean, Ganondorf is just too big to leave out, and they have Samurai Goroh as an assist trophy. Patience, young one.
Rampant speculation is that the third third-party character (apparently there was going to be "two or three") is Megaman. Personally I'd like to see Viewtiful Joe. =P

This idea is completely unlikely, and I'm gonna sound like a total nerd for suggesting it, but .... Cloud Strife would be pretty cool if Square pitched in.
It would also garner another huge audience in the form of Final Fantasy fans.
