New and at a loss - Raigen - 11-13-2007

Ok, I'm new to these forums. I created an account in the hopes of asking a question on the OOC boards before attempting to create a character, but am not being allowed to post there. I'm unsure of whether I could or not or if I should've waited a day or two after registering and activating my account before attempting to do so. I'm at a bit of a loss but I wanted to ask a question before trying to suggest a character since I can't seem to locate information about it. Sorry if this is too much trouble, and yes I have seen the rules on characters and about that, I just really have a question.

Can I create my own character idea and role play as him, rather than choose a pre-existing character from the series? That's what I was hoping to ask in the OOC section, but like I said I was unable to. Hopefully this isn't too much trouble for everyone.

Sorry about that. Couldn't edit my own post. Went back and looked through the main site concerning joining and found it said no custom characters. Sorry for the trouble.

Its perfectly alright to ask questions in this forum if you're trying to join.

To answer, no, we do not allow custom characters at this point in time. You have to choose a character from the show. However, you are not limited to RolePlaying the character exactly like they were in the show. For example, the Raditzu I roleplay is not nearly the same as the one from the first few episodes of Dragonball Z. Rather, his personality is something of my own crafting.

Oh no I got that part entirely. I just wanted to build my own character and work from the ground up rather than improve on a pre-existing idea. I'm sure it is fun, but probably just not for me and my wild, sick crazy imagination. :p
