So I got Guitar Hero III and Rock Band (Software only, so it's basically just more songs for the guitar controller for now) a while ago and beat 'em both with ease on medium, naturally. Now here's the problem; I'm stuck. I pwn every song on medium, almost everything 5 stars but I'm pitiful on Hard. It isn't even the orange button that gets me, 'cause on a couple hard songs I get 4-5 stars. It's the friggin' Yellow-Orange and Red-Orange chords and then shifting to something else that throws me and ends up making me butcher the song.
Anyone have any tips? I know it helps to play through songs on practice, but does anyone have any like ideas for songs that are good to learn hand-shifting on? Obviously DragonForce forces you to jump around like a mofo, but is there anything that won't give me carpal tunnel? Help meh. =(

F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X. is pretty rough (on expert at least) but its all strums and there's a fair amount of hand movement so its probably pretty good practice.

It helps for some people to shift your hand all the way down so your pinky is on Orange, and then you shift up for green. Usually your index has an easier time than your pinky.

if you cant get through rock band on hard you suck some balls.
srsly rock band is a good deal easier guitar wise than gh is.

Definitely agreed, and not only on the song charts but on the leniency of the star power system and stuff. I may play these stupid games too much.
Rock Band is pretty sweet though anyway.

My suggestion, though poorly stated, was to work on Rock Band on hard, and then switch over to Guitar Hero.
