I've just scored myself one of these babies, and now I want to know through your hard work and experience what are some good games to buy for it.
I've bought DW6, and I've only used Xiahou Dun so far (of course) and it's rather different to the previous series. I'll also be getting Halo 3 and an extra controller, probably today.
What else is hot!?

Mass Effect is good.
But between that and Halo 3 you've pretty much covered the games that are 360-only.
Multiplats: Army of Two is a lot of fun, especially for co-op. Not sure what is out in Australia yet though. Assassin's Creed is worth a rent at least. Rock Band is always good.

hope you're REALLY into shooters, because 90% of 360 games are shooters of one kind or another.
man, i'm so burned out on mass effect it's not even funny. it was addicting at first but like all addictions it becomes a nightmare. i think i played it from beginning to end six times in two weeks trying to collect achievements, and i haven't touched it since
halo3 is only good if you're an XBL addict. either play it online with friends or don't bother. i sold mine two months after buying it. i hear good things about bioshock, but it's strictly one-player. get oblivion if you like gigantic, free-roaming LotR-ish worlds. it has a decent skill/combat system, and two expansions are out already.
i think rainbow six: vegas is by far the best FPS on the box today. r6:v2 is coming out in two months or so, iirc. fight night round 3 is the best fighter i think i've ever played in my life. (i'm leaning more towards brutal realism than cartoonishly pretty games these days) THQ is currently developing a UFC game currently slated for release late 08/early 09, and they've claimed FN:R3 as a source of inspiration. hopeful meter reads: high.
games not yet released: the 360's soul calibur 4 is going to have yoda as a playerable character, for what it's worth. street fighter 4 is also on its way, so keep an eye out. i'm not sure if anything has changed recently, but the latest unreal tournament still isn't out for the 360 yet, something about Microsoft not wanting to make code available to the public which the developer's want so players can make mods: to be continued.
i played assassin's creed, but didn't care for it and i don't know why. splinter cell: double agent is more of the same so if you like it then check it out, and the next one has been in production for a while. i had fun with that naruto game from ubisoft.
the real treasure is Xbox Live Arcade. tons of cheap games and free demos at your finger tips. the most new and popular XBLA game seems to be N+, youtube it if you want to see what it's like. my friend says it's the best side scrolling game he's ever played, better than mario or megaman, which seems rather blasphemous but i haven't played it yet so i can't say.

Depends what sort of game you're into. I wanna suggest Gears of war, but it's quite old now, and the online gameplay isn't what it used to be, too many cheats, team stackers, assholes who think they're the shit. Still the campaign's okay, especially if you can find someone else to play it with you. If you haven't played Oblivion yet, get it. Mass Effect's great, but not so great for replay value, I found atleast. Lost Odyssesy is a fun old school RPG.

I had Oblivion on PC, but I got sick of it quickly. I played Morrowind a fair bit. I loved that, but Oblivion to me just seemed like more of the same. Although that's good in some games (DW!!!!) it didn't work for me with that one.

More games: Bully - Scholarship Edition. If you liked the last Bully game, here's another. I've played the demo for Turning Point - Fall of Liberty. It was actually pretty fun, very atypical story for a WW2 shooter. Another new demo is for Devil May Cry 4. They're trying to return to the original gameplay but it still feels a bit slow and clunky. My favorite demo right now is The Club. It's about an underground "death" sport. You pick one of eight characters who vary in speed, strength, and stamina. Enemies seem to be prisoners who are fighting for their lives, while your goal is to score points by killing them as you accomplish one of six different objectives. It plays like Gears of War and Mercenaries Mode from Resident Evil 4.
GTA4 is coming at the end of Super Duper April, and it looks awesome. It follows TUF and UFC Fight Night on April 2, Jet Li and Jackie Chan's The Forbidden Kingdom on Apirl 18, and UFC 83 on April 19. It's going to be the greatest month ever.
Fallout 3 in summer of 08. It's gonna rawk my cawk off. Described as "massively single-player first person shooter". From what I can gather it seems to be a cross between stop-and-go combat ala Knights of the Old Republic and the sprawling freedom of Oblivion, set in the aftermath of a nuclear holocaust for a Mad Max theme. Says lead designer Pagliarulo, "It's so depressing that you have to see the humor in it. If not, you'll lose your mind or slit your wrists. Part of your brain refuses to admit that [the end of civilization] will ever happen, so you have to look at it and laugh. The dark humor of talking to an old lady who's really nice to you, and then you blow her head off, put her head on a counter, and pretend to talk to her... there's a certain charm to that."
NPC's seem to fall into a handful of major archetypes: citizens of self-contained "safe zones" where you originally come from, raiders and scavengers in the wasteland, the irradiated zombie Mutants, and tech-cult Brotherhood of Steel. It's really not that different from the Elder Scrolls franchise, other than that you're using guns instead of sword and sorcery. I can hardly wait.
