Tech/Item Suggestions - Raditzu - 06-26-2008 If you have any suggestions for Techs or Items that are missing from Chubbs, post them here. Tech/Item Suggestions - Krillin - 06-26-2008 I think it would be neat if Flight had to be learned and was given tiers. That's just me. Also interesting would be the ability to transfer Health into Ki energy (even though the two really aren't that different). While it was displayed on the show, I don't think I've ever seen anyone explicitly on these forums put ALL of their life into an energy attack, but that can clearly be done. Tech/Item Suggestions - Mowgli - 06-26-2008 Giving flight tiers would be an awesome idea. I think so at least. It would give this whole custom thing a new edge. It would be more...realistic too. I mean, I don't know about you guys but when I first joined my guy was zooming through the air like it was nothing. I mentioned conserving energy like once or twice, but besides that his aerial abilities had no real limit. That transfer idea sounds more like rp fodder to me. I beleive there are a few people here that have/had techs that after using it drained them of health. It was Kakarot if I'm not mistaken, his tech left him in a coma for at least a day after using it. Or at least that's what I remember the description saying. Edit: Not fodder, really. Just something that I think is possible but just at the member's discretion. ---- Energy Cloaking - As all beings give out a "ki signature" even at an unconscious level, anyone with a tracking device can find them, this allows one to suppress that energy and remain undetected. Negated by the use of a transformation or large energy based attacks. I think that at least some type of requirement should be met for this. Ki Sense isn't just given at joining. Suppressing your energy requires a decent amount of control. If I remember correctly, it wasn't until the Namek saga that people started doing this. Tech/Item Suggestions - Krillin - 06-26-2008 Everything is RP fodder. Tech/Item Suggestions - Zangya - 06-26-2008 Energy Control is already here, Mowgli. It's known as Dark Ki. Also, I think to give nontransformers the edge that a Super Saiyan or Super Namekian would have, they need a powerup that corresponds with that. Something along these lines: Unlocked Potential - Humans/Nontransformers only. Unlocked by training with Guru on Namek or by an Emotional Trigger, nontransformers earn this power-up by learning to focus their energy and then, at last, learn to use it to unlock their reserves of energy that have been dormant for many years. This is, in essence, the same process that a Super Saiya-jin or Super Namekian would go through when unlocking their next tier of power. Their appearance would change only slightly in that their hair would spike up, but remain the same color. x20 powerup Unleashed Potential - Humans/Nontransfomers only. Can only be earned through extensive quality roleplaying, or awarded by staff in a staff saga. This would be the nontransformer's answer to Super Saiya-jin 2 or Ultra Namekian. x40 powerup Tech/Item Suggestions - Reijin - 06-26-2008 Krillin Wrote:Everything is RP fodder. On the same note... Every single change is moving into a more "do anything you want" direction. The original reasoning behind the armor + cloak setup was to allow customization through the combinations, which has now been replaced with Custom Armor and Custom Cloak. They have no game mechanic reason to be separate items, but for rp fodder they do. The Sync Weapons, which don't get me wrong because I don't mind them, also push the "no game mechanic gain, simply for rp fodder" direction. Abilities have nothing to do with stats at all anymore and from what I've seen in public releases I'm lead to believe the direction being taken is to purposely avoid a tie-in there... So what I'm getting at... Can we just go ahead and get rid of the completely useless stat system that doesn't fit this rpg in any way anymore other than for a couple of people to have bragging rights? Even every saga completely ignores stats. Get rid of consumables too. I think I'd trade a kidney to see when the last time someone using a Sensu bean did anything for someone that two paragraphs about something unrelated didn't do, and if someone actually removed said Sensu bean from the roster, I'd be even more surprised. They are just extra work and do nothing, even the Heart of Courage. I mean, they "do something", according to the site info, but they really don't. I doubt anyone will agree with me here, but just throwing out opinions. (none of this has any bearing on Dev Forum stuff; I haven't been in there) Tech/Item Suggestions - Raditzu - 06-26-2008 Getting rid of stats isn't a tech or an item. Stats probably won't be going anywhere. But "no" to consumables, gotcha. Tech/Item Suggestions - Bojack - 06-26-2008 Non-transformers do need a powerup to compete with the others, without having to die first. Tech/Item Suggestions - Kirano - 06-26-2008 We need a x40. We already have Spiriken trained. Tech/Item Suggestions - Bojack - 06-26-2008 Shin Spiritken? Something... =( Tech/Item Suggestions - Kirano - 06-26-2008 Don't care about the name. I just don't want to die in order to get a x40. Tech/Item Suggestions - Zangya - 06-26-2008 Yeah, b/c I think the whole purpose of a x40 is so you won't die... it's kind of ironic, when you think about it. Tech/Item Suggestions - Kirano - 06-26-2008 It's not the whole point. Tech/Item Suggestions - Zangya - 06-27-2008 Well, one of the purposes. Tech/Item Suggestions - Minoshia - 06-27-2008 sell ki grenades Tech/Item Suggestions - Krillin - 06-27-2008 I got Kaioken (x20) during a saga, without dying. That's not me bragging, that's me saying that it isn't unprecedented for non-transformers to get Kaioken without dying. Tech/Item Suggestions - Minoshia - 06-27-2008 new upgrades for saibamen!! i have to keep building my army >
Tech/Item Suggestions - Android-18 - 06-27-2008 Bring the clone fighter back...Or do we still have that clone fighting room? Tech/Item Suggestions - Bojack - 06-27-2008 Krillin Wrote:I got Kaioken (x20) during a saga, without dying. a) getting Kaoken out of nowhere is pretty stupid b) that's happened what, twice? Tech/Item Suggestions - Zangya - 06-27-2008 I agree. If I ever got Kaioken out of nowhere, I would trade it for something else, as I would prefer to train at King Kai's for it. |
