Thomas Beatie - Kirano - 07-04-2008 The man has just given birth to a child. What are your thoughts? During his pregnancy http://img.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2008/03_04/ThomasBeatie_468x490.jpg News relating birth of child http://news.uk.msn.com/Article.aspx?cp-documentid=8792201 Thomas Beatie - Yamu - 07-04-2008 The fact that 'he' was still a 'she' kind of makes the whole story very uninteresting. She is a transgender and was going though the process of becoming a man but still had fully functioning female genitalia when she artificially conceived as she had only begun hormone transplants but had not yet undergone surgery to physically change. Leave it to Oprah to make a big deal out of something kinda pointless. That being said, it was brave of him to go on TV but it really isn't that remarkable. Thomas Beatie - Krillin - 07-04-2008 It's fun to listen to discussions about transgender folk and watch the pronouns get switched up a bunch. Thomas Beatie - Zangya - 07-05-2008 Tracy. A unisex name. Wants his child to have the freedom to choose. Thomas Beatie - Aero - 07-07-2008 This isn't interesting and all. And I refuse to call this woman a man. She's a woman. A freakishly altered woman. Thomas Beatie - Milk Bubble - 07-07-2008 If she wants to call herself a man so be it. It doesn't change the fact that genetically "he" is a woman deep down. Thomas Beatie - Bra - 07-07-2008 Nah, I'm with Aero. She's just a freak now. =\ |
