End Your Writing Block - Abel - 07-21-2005 I have done it. I have found what has helped me numerous times get out of writing block. It all derived from an old friend who used to roleplay in AOL chatrooms back in the day before I came here. He loves to write now and he is awesome at it. There were times I just didn't feel like writing or couldn't think of anything to write. But my friend, Tem, has written many stories and they are beautifully done and may help you. Note, this is not my work but what you can do is post your comments here and I will show him your comments which inspire him to write more. But take heed, he is homosexual so some things may seem a little strange every now and then. But he is a great writer so I don't think you will mind. 1. http://geocities.com/yaoi_fanboi/rec/rec.html - Reclaimation - This is his main project currently. It is in it's 12th chapter (part) and more will be updated this week or next probably. This one has given me most inspiration lately because I almost couldn't get away from the computer when reading this. It gets complex but he ties everything together perfectly. 2. http://geocities.com/yaoi_fanboi/tour.html - On Tour - This was written further back and he updated it and put it on his site. The characters in this, along with most characters in all of his stories, derive from the AOL roleplaying. I am always Joe in his stories and he was Tem. He also had an obsession with wanting my character to be gay so in these stories, he made my character that way =(. 3. http://geocities.com/yaoi_fanboi/gamers.html - Gamers- This is one of the best written peices I have read in my timespan of 14 years. He based this on our OOC lives more than the roleplaying, I am Travis in this story. He based this story on roleplaying which sounds weird, but it is incredible. He writes about the different types of roleplaying and the different things that revolve around it and everything takes place at, what else, a roleplaying tournament. This gave me most inspiration to start writing again. Those three stories may help you, they may not. Check his blog too for secrets to his Reclaimation and the original notes behind the story of how he tied everythign together and how he ties everything together in the end. http://suicidalfanatic.blogspot.com/ Tell me if this helps you, it helped me. Post your comments on his work and I will be sending him them. Criticism is appreciated I bet. |
