Chubbs DBZ RPG started just before DBZento RPG closed. It was originally designed and made to be a sort of tribute to Zento. As such, it borrowed the orginal ki formula, along with all of the actual statistics.
Of the remaining members, I think I would only credit Reijin and Trunks with the creation of the RPG. The other central figures of Chubbs' creation have long left.
For a long while, members would post their training in a "training" forum and a staff member (or group of staffers) would go through the roster and manually update everyone's roster. It would look something like this:

Anyway, VJ came along and graced us with an automated training system (I probably just skipped over a bunch of stuff) and about that time, ownership of the site changed hands.
Chubbs turned CDBZ over to VJ and appointed myself and Reijin as admins. There were some... falling outs on the staff and some reworking needed to be done.
The RPG went through several... slow moments, losing and gaining members on a daily basis. Several times the RPG was kept alive thanks to the efforts of a single staff member.

I believe it started in August/September of 1999. I have only been her enearly fifteen months, but you hear a lotin that time. I think it was nearly three years ago that the forums were hacked and everything on them was lost (this all happened because of somebody named 'Billy' who got into Raditzu's account). A lot has happened since its creation, but I must say that, for at least me, it is like a second home.

Ahem.
CDBZRPG started in August of 2000. Myself, Josh, and Tim along with Chris (the original owner of Chubbs) were the first to join the RPG. The site was hosted on Homestead, and frankly the main website layout looked like it was done by a 12 year old. The original forum, again, looked like a 12 year old manufactured it. No doubt we were all very young (i had just turned 14 when it opened), we all still had incredible fun working with Chubbs DBZ RPG. The sparring was requested to staff by two members wishing to spar, and a staff member would write it up. That later changed to the members writing their own, and the staff just approving it. Training was as Raditzu had mentioned in his post. Let's just say, CDBZRPG has deffinitely come a long way since it opened. If there are any specific questions, just ask, and we'll be sure to answer.

Ah the old days...Billy was a retard...I kinda think he partly hacked because of me, what with the way he targeted me during the time and edited my posts O.o...I for one am glad he's gone.
And yes that whole update thing is annoying...I do it for SH =P! I really love this place, and the people I've met.

Yeh we've come around some deffinite ass holes in the past 5 years, as we now enter into our 6th year of Chubbsness. But we've gotten through them, whether hacking into the site or not. Hey, those that remember, we also got our revenge on him too, those that were there know exactly what i'm talking about.

That was my original job on the staff. Sheesh it was a big job. At one point I actually had a couple of mini-staffers (analogous to the Story Guides we have now) working under me to help get them all done. Ah those were the days.
All us old hags should just leave staff and let a bunch of 14~16 year olds take over. Boy that would be... well... dumb.
