Cut to the chase: "I don't have money. I want more of it. I think I'll go steal." Perfect. More often than not, people don't emphasize money as being the purpose of something, when really, it's just as good a reason as anything else, especially since we have so many shady characters.
You begin by leaving it up to a lot of conveniences and happenstance, but it's so shake-your-head-amusing, it miraculously flies. Don't, however, do it all the time, or even most of the time. Build-up is good.
As I get farther into this, I see a lot of basic commodities used, like cars. Good stuff. Why use cars when you can fly, or have ships? Shit. Retro is useable. I would have used, like, a 'stang or a 'vette instead of a Durango, but yours is acceptable. More covert-like.

The police brutality scene was funny.
In fact, your whole quest had a quirky thing going on. Conventional stuff: cars, ski masks, computers. You could have just busted in. The police didn't really match up to your strength. It had almost a deus ex machina ending to it: you did everything "normally," and then bust out your super abilities at the end to weasel out of capture.

Yeah, I tried to make it like a bootleg Mission Impossible, but with an alien that doesn't really care about anything being Ethan. The whole Durango thing came from usual professional heists having one of those utility vans that is like a computer room in it. However, the guy was too cheap, so he jsut used his truck. =P
