C&C for a photoshop noob please - Sol - 08-20-2006 I figured I would atleast try my hand at making sigs so I made a couple in the last few days basicly just by using a bucnh of tutorials so I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice/critisism/comments/what ever. ![]() ![]()
C&C for a photoshop noob please - Chase - 08-20-2006 Goten's BG, (different color of course), MB's Text, and how Broli's pic is blended in, would make a good sig. MB's sig needs a border. Also, you might want to blend the sig in more. I suggest(before filtering it), duplicating the layer, apply a whatever effect to the bottom layer, set it to Opacity, and if the sig is dark set the top one's blending options to either Darken or Multiply, and if it's light, to lighten or screen. Also, the text doesn't fit in that well. C&C for a photoshop noob please - Sullivan - 08-20-2006 Ditto, but for a newbie at Photoshop, not bad at all. C&C for a photoshop noob please - Chase - 08-20-2006 Not bad at all, let me show you one of my earliest sigs >.> ![]() Just, ugh, at mine. Found it buried between tons of RPs on my old hard-disk. So yeah, not bad at all. C&C for a photoshop noob please - Sol - 08-20-2006 Thanks for the comments and compliments, I'm gonna try to make few new sigs right now using your advice. C&C for a photoshop noob please - Sol - 08-20-2006 I kinda just threw a few more together, any comments... ![]() ![]() obviously I felt green today ^_^ C&C for a photoshop noob please - Chase - 08-20-2006 Much better, but a few other suggestions ^_^ Okay, so the text. Make something like a glow, or white stroke, so that it stands out just a bit more. My particular suggestion: Duplicate the layer, the bottom one stroke it 2px white on the outside, set the blending of the layer to OverLay. Top one apply a motion blur, about 2-3px in the direction the sig flows, top-left, bottom-right. Also, on the pics, to make them stand out a bit more, like the right Cell pic, do something like this (if you made a darker sig, with not much colour at all, pick another color, and select the layer with the pic. Right-click > Blending Options. Select Outer Glow, click the gradient and change the yellow from the first part to the color you chose. Then play with the spread/size, but not before setting the glow blending to OverLay. Then play with the ones, and look when you get colour spreading through the black. Anything else I didn't talk about is good. Practice makes perfect ^.^ EDIT: Almost forgot, the Gohan one I like most so far. C&C for a photoshop noob please - Aqua - 08-20-2006 Yeah, the Gohan one is best thus far. Good work so far, IMO, especially for your inexperience. |
