Um, I'm cool with you doing this, I guess, if you get SM or Admin support. But yeah, it wouldn't be staff endorsed so there wouldn't be any prizes or nothin'.
Seems like you just wanna have a little fun, and there's nothing wrong with it, I just wanted to get that out there.

It's an ok idea, but the timing is bad. PC3 is right around the corner and unless you think you can knock out a tourny in about 2 weeks, then you'll need to wait until after PC3...but even then a huge quest will be run by Violet and myself, so that's going to take up some members as well...so you're looking for a few months out.
And to extract complete power and weaponry isn't a bad idea, but who's going to judge it...you'll need someone that's willing to read all the rp's and not be a part of the tourny for that to work out.
And probably not a good idea to label yourself as the final fighter...if you're going to be in it, you should have to go through the prelimes like everyone else. But these are just my opinions.

You said you wanted player and Staff opinion alike, so here goes:
I'd be in. But I'd like it if you could get a staffer to assist you in the decision making, and maybe even if you posted some sort of ranking system so that the participants know what is expected of them. just ideas.
All in all, I'd like a strictly RP based tourney. Which begs the question: is the victor decided by quality of RP or actual character victory?

Ah. Ok, let me post my question this way: can an extremely well-written loss win over a fairly well written victory? i assumed that a god modding writer would lose, but i was just curious to see which was weighed more heavily in your consideration: RPing or victory. because, though they go hand in hand to a degree, older members have more moves at their disposal. Thanks for the fast reply though, I really think this could be cool.

Just to clarify, from an SM point:
If you want prizes to be given out, you'll have to ask a staff member to do the judging. You can still host it.
You CAN give your own stuff, like zeni and items, if you have enough to give out. You obviously can't give techs if you take this path.
