Alright first off, I'm confused about space travel. I want to go to Earth, and I was wondering how it works...
1)Do I wait 5 days and RP on Vegeta, and then when after those 5 days I RP my space travel?
2)Do I RP for 5days in space, and then after I'm done I'm on Earth?
Bassically what I'm really asking... is if I lift off right now, could I do a Vegeta quest during those five days?

No, you couldn't. The second you lift off, you're in Space. Once there, you have to RP in the Space board. Whatever we call it. I think it's just "Space".
Until you touch down on Earth 5 days later, that is. Then you RP on Earth.

That said, you are totally free to write up the Quest during those five days. You can not post it, but you can write it up in entirety and save it to your computer through Microsoft Word (or some similar processing program), and then post it all up when you're done. That's totally fine.

They fluid time. Meaning one story is set before the other.

What exactly are the examples? I'm aware of a few, but as far as I know, this isn't something that should be done without checking with us first.
