And I didn't plan on changing characters. There's another way I was actually juggling around with in muy head.

I was thinking of doing it after Tokens quest and pouring ALL my TP into determination, which as of right now, would take me a year to get back to where I was.
If I was to get a power-up I planned to at least think about getting my Ki up to 50,000 and using the power-up to return Retane to 1 million Ki and shit.
But that part of the hypothetical plan is scratched obviously lol.

TPP is very much Inactive.
Funny thing is, the quest weas made more-so specifically for him I beleive. And if you looked at the quest, someone else could jump in to compete to win.
And Burter had stated recently that anyone can do any of the earth quests except Diplomacy.

As far as I know, it was for Tao and will not be completed by anyone else. It was arranged under special circumstances. However, I think an alternative to it was being worked on for everyone to participate in.

It was created for Tao and Goku, it was not created with the intentions that someone else would do it instead of, or after them. It was created under special circumstances, you'd need to discuss it with Raditzu/Reijin before you undertake it.
Like I said, I believe an alternative is in the works.

Goku was there just so that Tao had someone to roleplay with b/c he was complaining that doing it by himself was too boring. It was made specifically for Tao, and is one of the quests that need to be removed.

So, I'm torn now because of what's been said. Obviously, I've been playing with the idea of attempting the quest after I found a stand still in the works of creating Retane. This doesn't mean that it's something I planned on doing, as I play with alot of ideas.
Now, I'm sure you know what people, even myself are going to say or think after reading this. So I'm sure anything I say, that you are expecting it.
This is probably going to make people look at me with a bit more ill-taste as I'm sure staff's had their hands full this night.
Anyways after reading the last reply, I decided to take my confused ass and finish watchin LotR: Two Towers, you know give me time to mull it over. Guess what? I'm still confused.
Tao joined under the assumption that he could have his stats made anyway he chose. I think it was Goku that had told him such. Or maybe I misread. He gets corrected. End of story? No. A quest appears that allows someone to rearrange their stats.
It was around the Chubbs Idol time so I brushed it off as maybe one of the conttestants had saw the join thread and made the quest. It didn't bother me really, and I even thought of joining in on it or doing it myself. I brush the idea away and move on.
Latyely, I've felt as if somethings been amiss with me. Like I'm unable to give my writing my best ability. I sit down and I start working away at figuring out where I went wrong and what I could to do give Retane something deeper and shit. Make his actions have more sense and reason. You should see the list of moves I've created and shit.
Then I look at the quests seeing if theres something new there after Burters refreshing of them. I look at the Body is a Reflection, and after a bit, I randomly IM Pikkon to look at my stats and add them up, except for the Det. He does and gives me a number. I do the math all the math and I tell him sometihng like 20+22=42. And tell him about the quest and that it would take me a year to get back to where I am today with my stats. I joke about it with Pikkon, and even do so with Mino, who will kill me if I do such a stupid thing.
I even joke about it to Burter, telling him to get rid of it before I do something stupid, like actually do it and that it scared the shit out of me. He tells me not to do it if it scares me then.
In the discussion with Minoshia, I tell him that actually if I got my stats to 50,000 and had a power-up then I would be arond the level of the beginners and shit. he says I have a point and after he signs off, I make this thread just to make sure.
Now I'm here, learning that the quest can't be done, because the quest was made for Tao alone.
That makes me wonder something now as I write this. What if two people started it before Tao could? Would they have been told no they couldn't? What if someone joined with Tao before Goku? Thinking about it, the quest seemed to be that someone could start it, and a second person could randomly jump in without asking. And what if someone else joined and out Rped Tao in every aspect? Would Tao have still won regardless? But something makes me wonder if that would have been true had Goku not been in it. Then theres the part that Cargo had to have Tao's permission to join in Goku's stead. I mean with Goku RPing with Tao and it being just those two allowed to be in it, then it kind of screws someone that actually wanted to try for the quest.
All of that, in which I beleive, is not right under any circumstances.
A quest was created, so someone coould have their way. It was created for the specific purpose to please one person.
I know staff has the final say. And I know this is probably going to cause someone to come in and shout at staff for favoring somone, or be used as an example or whatever. For that, I'm going to apoligize and hope it doesn't happen
But what happened to an old saying, "Whats good for one, is good for another"? I know somethings are handled by a case by case basis, but I don't think this should be one of them.
What does sadden me is that whatever ensues beyond this point of this thread, is that if anything is overturtned on this call, that I would be expected to do the quest and im unsure if it's an idea I would stick with. After all, as I said, I was just playing with the idea, thinking about it, never have I had a solid yes or no on if I really wanted to do it.
I mean the quest should be done bysomeones thats gonna stick around, not some person that comes and leaves reather quickly.

The point is that we normally don't allow people to rearrange their stats.
We made an exception on Tao's part when he joined for various reasons.
Exceptions are meant to be kept extremely rare. Not to let everyone else "be an exception as well"
Tao joined as soon as I created it on the spot for he and Goku. Someone else tried to join, we informed them that Goku and Tao had already reserved it at the time.
The only reason it was there was due to this situation. That situation is no longer there b/c we apparently didn't do enough to make his stay a good one, so there is no reason for the quest to be there.
I'm sorry if this seems to be "blatant biasm" or anything like that. But it is what happened.
