C&C on my first ever sketch!!!

Alright, so im in math class and i start to think about the turnover. I think "Hmmm, who should i switch to?? Or should i make a custom??" As i thought, my mind was browsing around characters in dbz and i finally made a selection.

Panbukin. He was my selection. But then i thought that i didnt want to go from one fat character to another, so i sketched a pic of skinny Bukin. So i need some C&C. Also please note that this is the first attempt at drawing anything serious in my 13 years of living.

{[And also, sorry for the chitty quality. It was drawn on the back of a math ditto. O and i couldnt colour it cuz i couldnt find any colored pencils >.>]}

He don't look that skinny with such a huge chin / jaw line. Looks pretty chubby compared to the rest of his body.

But good character if you work on it, and good drawing attepmt as a first try.

Go pick up a book that shows ya how to draw. I'm not being an asshole, just saying that your work, as is, sucks. Though, I'm sure it is cause you never do it. Practice and get some help, then your drawings will portray what you want them to.

Im not looking to waste money (well my moms money) on a book that teaches me something i can teach myself. I can teach myself to draw, which is what im practicing right now. I know i need a lot of it, but if you would of asked me yo draw a skinny bukin like a week ago, i would have handed you somethin that looked like paris hiltons acting.

Why not look at images and attempt to re-create them? Not trace, but draw what you see. That might help a bit. Then eventually you can go onto drawing straight from your imagination. I'm not saying it completely sucks, I just think it needs work and that you need to practice. =D

No offense, but saying it's your first sketch isn't any excuse. Drawing is not a talent but a gift. Talents can been greatly improved. Gifts can be improved as well, but not a lot. Keep trying though and you'll get better. But I seriously doubt if you're going to be amazing.

That's what I do right now. My imaginative drawings suck.

That helped me when I first started drawing dbz. Then I got so good that I could draw without looking.

When I was learning to draw books did not help me at all. It's better to have someone sit down and show you. Or, if you don't have any to teach you, I learned a lot by just staring at pictures of things for a really long time and figuring out things like shadows and symmetry. Start out drawing random objects around you, just like quick sketches, then work on shadows, etc.
