Energy, chi, ki, chakra, essence, spirit; various different words and they all mean the same thing. In order to have life you must have energy. Now there are those, an extraordinary few, who can actually sense or feel their energy and use it for more than the basic function of just living. This is draining and limits amount of ability they have in manipulating their ki.
However, there are even fewer and ever more extraordinary individuals who seem to have and ever expanding amount of ki; it’s as if they are tapped into the universe itself. Being their bread and butter these few are just short of limitless on their ability to manipulate their ki. Carter is one of these few.
Unfortunately, he is completely oblivious and unaware of his uniqueness and has never called forth his Ki. Currently, this ability has only ever expressed itself once, on the night his family was taken from him. Carter tends to block out every recollection of the night, so he remains clueless for the time being.
Inner Strength: There is something that inarguably differentiates Carter from the person standing next to him; in a word: potential. Carter has for some reason been blessed with unrelenting hiding power. Power that has allowed for the boy to coast through life. Simply put, when matched against someone with equal training, they just won’t stand a chance.
This has lead to a very ignorant laziness which has left the fighter behind; however, if a fire were to be lit under his ass, there would be no stopping the young man from accomplishing his goals.
Techniques
Telepathy: Through certain self destructive endeavors Carter has walked the fine line between genius and insanity and has come back to reality all the better for it, for now. As a result the youth is able to communicate with others without the use of words along with ability to pick up on this unique to someone. Carter explains this as reading; due to him employ the same effort when reading a book. Simply put if Carter attempts to learn something about you he is generally able to. However, carter is not ignorant to the fact that he is a complete novice and in way over his head. He often cannot distinguish if he has read someone’s mind or made it up himself. It’s a sort of guess and check for him at this stage.
Custom Techniques

Inner Image: With the use of telepathy Carter can enter his opponents mind. From there he then manifests an image of himself, his own spirit fighter, which is able to mentally assault his foe. Carter usually only uses it in the mix of physical attacks which leads to confusion for the other fighter. The mental fighter’s strikes cause’s slight pain such as aches, light headedness, strains, and in some occasions in which Carter is really focusing his Inner Image effects such as actual physical wounds due to the minds belief that the image is actually causing them harm.
Appearance
Carter is young and has very nice physic, now along with a much defined jaw structure and pretty light blue eyes the boy is a fox. He knows this and is very confident in the way he looks, which only seems to make him more attractive.
He is very down to earth when it comes in fashion; in essence he is a blue jeans and t-shirt kind of guy. However, he does have a love for motocross and due to this he has two loves he is rarely without; Either a black leather with white stripes or a white leather jacket with black stripes and when either is worn Carter will usually wear an alternating black or white shirt under it. With that said he can sometimes be spotted with leather riding gloves on as well. The youth isn’t completely blind to fashion though and can be seen rocking a head garment on occasion, either a hat or headband, whatever the charismatic youth is feeling on that particular day.
Origin
Carter’s mother was a full blooded saiyan from the planet Vegeta and being of low class was raised as a slave. Escaping when she was still a young girl she managed safe passage to the green planet, Earth. She lived a pleasant life on Earth, forgetting her violent and harsh path. Leaving her past behind her, she did well for herself in this new world, leading her into the arms of Carter’s Father; a very well to do human who was martial artist. With his mother never revealing her past to her family, Carter is unaware of his heritage.
Growing up
With saiyan blood coursing through his blood, Carter had always seemed to have an advantage against his peers. This caused for the youth to excel in all aspects of his young life; sports, girls, and fighting came naturally to him. Now Carter never went looking for trouble, however when you shine as bright as Carter did you attract all sorts of people who want to lay claim on you, both good and bad. Let’s face it, to a young man naïve to the world and how it works there is no better ploy than money and power. Foolishly, Carter got involved with the crime world at an early age causing his schooling to slip.

If you know anything about dishonest money, you know that it’s easy come easy go. It’s the way of the world, with every action there is an equal reaction to it. On a night Carter is off handling business for his new crime life, crime hits home. A group of thugs break into the Wukong residence for some pillaging only to find the family home when they shouldn’t have been. Now, being of a lower class of people the thugs began a few very heinous acts to which Carter comes home in the middle of. Carter erupts displaying a bit of hidden potential that is the only factor in why Carter lives today; however, the night is scared into Carter with the rape and murder of his family plaguing his mind.
Promising to put his life of crime and tragedy behind him Carter starts anew by attending college where he begins to do very well for him. He gains a successful start acquiring friends and even a new love interest, Emily. However, it seems he doesn’t quite have a handle on life and is driven into self destructing measures. With his past haunting him Carter plunges himself into drugs and loses everything, his friends and his new girl. With Carter in dire straits he believes he is losing his mind as he hits an all time low.
Charles, a friend he had acquired returns to Carter for an intervention and attempts to help Carter clean up. However, this friend has ulterior motives and as it turns out the very things that make Carter believe he’s losing his mind are actually hidden powers the youth possess. Charles intends to take Carter in under his wing and help him grow his powers, claiming that together they can make it through this. Freaked, Carter runs.[/spoiler]

Homeless, depressed, and scared Carter’s world is literally shattering down to its foundation. At this point the youth does the only thing teenagers do best, avoid your problems and just have some fun. Carter heads to a local tavern for a drink and a possible hook up, the only thing he believes could possibly chase away his problems. Now he normally would have diverted back to drugs, however he seems to be chasing the only thing that had every really worked for him, Emily.
Ready to give his mind something new to busy itself with Carter notices a very beautiful young woman sitting alone at the bar and with her favorite drink in hand he introduces himself. Seeming to want nothing to do with him Xena gives the youth the cold shoulder. However, this doesn’t seem to deter our hero as Carter is looking to a cure, not a hook up. In all fairness, the conversation isn’t going the best, but it could have been going a lot worse.
Unfortunately, his attempts to distract his mind are failing and he begins to see the faces of his dead family. Distraught the terrified youth heads to the bathroom in order to drug himself up. With the drugs coursing through his veins a new determination fills him as he begins his conquest of the beautiful Xena. Desperate for affection, desperate to feel something, anything that could make him believes his hell was only imaginary; he embraced Xena.
Xena, who seemed to actually have quite the warrior spirit within her, didn’t take well to Carter’s advances. She quickly assaulted the emotionally torn young man and kept a rather dominant pace in the fight. Now although Carter was defiantly involved in a fight, he still seemed more intent to reach out to her. His hidden powers of telepathy began to reach her where he physically could not.
Realizing no form of compassion would be found here Carter began to engage the fight, however, he was just mentally, emotionally, and physically outdone. Just when things were looking grim for the young man, it appeared he had finally reached Xena on some sort of level. She extended an offer for them to date if he could defeat her. Had Carter not been damaged on so many levels, levels that weren’t even apparent to Xena, he may have taken the girl on a very nice outing that they would have both enjoyed. However, this is not the case as Xena left him unconscious on the bar floor.[/spoiler]
