Traits: Can we create one of our own?

Spontaneous
Some people like to plan and strategize and have everything fit perfectly into place. And then there's those people who live in the moment, with never a thought to as to where their next step may take them. In chaotic situations, a person with this trait really shines, but they're really at a loss in structured events and conflicts.

Of course, the counterpoint would be;

Planner
Wake up at 7. Brush teeth and 7:15. Out the door by 7:30. There's nothing more pleasant than a well-structured day, for people with this mentality. They like to line up their days like ducks in a row, perfectly align and within reason. When things go accorsing to plan, they're at their peak. However, a single-monkey wrench thrown into the mix may just throw this person off his or her game.

Abilities: Is it possible to create a custom ability?

If so;

Mind Warp - A relative to the more-mundane Telepathy, this ability allows a user to change how others view the world around them. With the proper application, a user could literally make a mountain out of a molehill. A strong-willed or skeptical target may be able to see through the effects, however.

That's not incredibly motivational... In that case, I assume creating a character at all would probably be a moot point.

I just talked with him and Kaden about his underlying intentions, which were possibly worded a bit more negatively than intended. Essentially, our stance (at least those of acting staff, I reserve my own stance for now) is to let you guys do things (as long as they don't detract from site enjoyment) and if we decide to get more organized and "official" again in the future, than we will review these decisions at a later time and see if we feel they are conducive to the environment we'd want to pursue.

EDIT: That said, there's no harm in asking for an acting staffers opinion or assistance in updating something simply for clarity, but we being pretty lenient right now about it and I would say not to hold a true expectation of it being done, more just be happy if someone DOES decide to get around to it. Hopefully that makes sense, but yeah, we're kinda in "unofficial" mode right now as far as the RPG goes.

Didn't intend to shit on your party. If you want to write and play the game, we'll support you in that. Right now, we're much more loose with the rules (short of complete anarchy); the focus is on enabling people who want to write together.

I consider custom traits and custom abilities to be low-risk issues. Run with it (within reason. Don't go making universe-ending custom abilities or anything. Police yourselves). If we do get to a point where we intend to re-standardize the game, we'll explore integrating your custom traits and abilities back into the game (perhaps temporarily locking them off until you've 'paid' for them).

Long story short, do what you will. If things get out of hand, we'll step in and fix it up. If you need something from us to continue on, let us know.

Ok, take my post with a complete grain of salt, actually. We aren't all on the same page, after talking to some on Mumble, so I don't want to give a false impression. I think its best to still pursue normal means of requests as applies to site rules, I suppose. I apologize if we're a bit contradictory or inconsistent in how we approach this but understand we all have pretty different stances on this site at the moment and how much we plan to devote our time to it for the time being.

In that case, did that ability seem reasonable? I picture it more of an illusionary type ability, not really changing the world but giving an impression of it.
