Eyes on You -- Minoshia
#1
A lot of you weren't here when Mino first joined. He was a n00b, as we all were at one point. But he was a good one. A logical one. Not the best roleplayer, or the brightest guy, but you knew he had some form of intelligence by the way he typed and held a conversation.

Back then hardly anyone died. In fact the afterlife was completely empty. Nobody was there. Until of course the old Goku Jr, who was a moron, decided that he would get his buddy Minoshia and jump Android 16

16 kicked their asses, but they still managed to get him dead too.

Mino then spent the next half year dead, training for Kaioken. He got it, and Spirit Bomb, and then went to DA. Did nothing specifically relevant, as he died off quick and went to Hell this time where he got Possession.

Now the reason I picked him for this column is simple. He did all this, not for techniques or the chance to get recognized -- but because he wanted to be a better writer. And a better writer he became. He got technique after technique, because he earned it himself.

Then the takeover saga came along and he took Minoshia in a new direction. The Evil King of Earth. Mino once again amazed me and the staff by his roleplaying capabilities, his ability to tell a story, and his continued effort to improve.

So take some time, read over some roleplays by him. You'll be impressed. He has a way of sucking you into his void of creativity and I promise you'll walk out of it with a new found respect for writer's on Chubbs in general.

With that said, Minoshia will be the first, and hopefully not last, Eyes on You roleplayer.

Oh, shit! I completely agree with you, Burter, with that people should read his RPs. They are actually quite excellent, and I like how you relayed the information in a more narrative way than I've heard it before, makes it easier to take in. O=

Minoshia has an admirable ability for strong characterization, and even better, the sense to keep it consistent. His character is well defined, and makes smooth transitions from one endeavor to the next. Even if it is not composed to his liking, he puts such heart into it that you can really get a feel for what Mino is trying to express. I've watched and actually tried to learn how it is he is perfectly able to keep himself occupied. Minoshia always has a goal, always has something to explore. There's no end to the facets he could construct. He's interesting and captivating.

I agree with you Burter. Minoshia deserves to be recognized. Sometimes it's not the most articulate writer that has the best material, it's the one who always strives for a better product than the last.

Kudos to you, Mino.
