But he's ALWAYS watching.

Things always had a way of going by faster than you were prepared for them. To Bardock, their group's plot seemed to be anything but likely, but they had withdrawn before ever fully giving it a chance. They had been completely preempted by the unexpected arrival of a new cast of faces, who quite literally dropped in on them. The large reptilian could be none other than Burter, the father of the little one. A tall, wizened namekian helped Katel to her feet, whom she referred to as Kami. The other had the stench of human upon him. Bardock didn't catch his name.

Bebi was busy staring at a tinted window. Someone was watching.

"I'm going up there," Bebi hissed darkly. "I know it's him."

"I'm going too," the saiyan barked instantly.

"We'll split up," Katel said. "I've fulfilled my end of the bargain, now I want some help getting my sister back."

There was nothing but sheer determination lacing her words.

"I'll help," Kami replied. "I owe Akira."

His face split wide with a smile.

The human, Hellfighter 17, and the namekian Kami bid their farewells before clustering up. Katel left Bardock's side, her lack of close presence taking away a warmth that had slowly fostered. She had upheld her agreement to help him get to Kao, but he was not helping her in turn. But he was already committed to something else. In a way, dismantling the leadership would cut off their control of Akira, if he thought optimistically. His eyes were only for her as she left, and he swallowed hard, not knowing if he was ever going to see her again. It was better this way. Turning back to his own group, Bardock turned towards Bebi, intent on taking his mind off of recent happenings.

Burter took a moment to look up from his son, glancing at his newfound allies. His eyes stopped when they came upon the face of the saiyan. It couldn't have been him, but the resemblance was unmistakable.

"You...you must know Goku," he began, addressing the bronze warrior.

"If by Goku, you mean Kakarotto, then yeah," Bardock grunted in response, not approving of his offspring's adopted name. "He's my youngest boy."

"I think it's only fair to tell you then, that he's been eliminated already," Burter stated. The other whirled on him.

"What?!" he shouted, not caring how loud his voice was.

Burter, being a father himself, could sympathize with the loss. Even if Goku hadn't really been killed, this game was all too close to the actual thing. Goku had still felt the torturous pain of death without actually having been submitted to it. "Brim eliminated him," he repeated. "He told me so himself."

A deep rage began to rise from beneath the surface. Bardock clenched his powerful hands into fists. His chiseled jaw was ground firmly together. He hadn't any quarrel with Brim before this. The saiyan's body was so tense with anger that it was actually shaking. His fingers were curling so tightly that the nails broke the skin. It was all he could do to keep himself from bringing the building itself down around his ears. Without consciously willing them to do so, tendrils of pure white energy began to steam from his figure, emanating with deadly intent. His inner ki was slowly starting to rise, bringing the power he held so deep inside to bear. Tufts of black locks lifted from atop his head, swaying gently in the wake of his seeping energy.

"Then I'll just have to do him the favor in turn," Bardock growled so lowly that the words were almost lost upon the ears that heard them. "Only I won't be so nice."

Before, Bar wanted to kill Kao simply for his dishonorable actions against the saiyan. Now, it would leave Brim bereft of son and able to feel exactly what Bardock felt now. And then he would wreak havoc on the TV producer himself.

"Do you hear me?" he asked suddenly. The saiyan's chin rose. "DO YOU HEAR ME, BRIM?! IF YOU WANT A GOOD SHOW, THEN I'LL FUCKING GIVE YOU ONE!"

"Shut up!" a voice rebuked from amidst the din. It was Bebi. "Less talk, more action!" he prompted.

Bebi wasn't going to wait for Bardock to finish his tantrum to get his own hands on Brim. The saiyan instantly calmed down, though only on the outside. His rage was not so easily quelled. It still exuded from inside.

"Let's go."

OOC: Well, shit. I don't have the ability to change it with a minute left on this library computer. The post will have to just be filled in between gaps in Bebi's.

"The older one wants to fight you, Kao," Brim told his son firmly. The green duo had been watching the five warriors walk along the building on the cameras. Even though they could kill them with the collars in an instance, Brim chose to let them roam.

"Let him," Kao said confidently. "I can take him."

"Don't be so sure," The father told his son, "The man is a saiyan, and he is also a father. A dangerous combination."

"Hmph," came the stubborn reply.

"Regardless, I have some business to do. I don't want that grey figure messing anything up yet, so you hold them at bay while I deal with the little blue one."

"That shrimp? What good could he possibly do?"

"It's not the little one I want." Brim grinned evily, looking back at his son, "But he is the bait for the bigger catch."

EVENT

Bebi stopped in the middle of the hallway, looking at the door to the right. Above the door was the sign he had been looking for. 'Executive Office.' The slender grey figure moved forward while his companions watched carefully. His hand touched the doorknob, and as if something had been planning that very move, the door was kicked at him.

Bebi flew back when the door was forced open towards him, knocking him to the ground. The familar, evil green male stepped out, grinning. Bardock, the closest warrior to the oppenent, lunged forward at him but only caught air with his fist, then fell onto the ground after Brim tripped him easily. When he looked up, he could see the teal teenager he had been looking for, sitting comfortably on the couch.

"Good to see you boys," Brim taunted, folding his arms over his chest.

"You are a bad man!" The small reptilian foolishly jumped forward, as if to mimic Bardock's attempts. Brim caught the boy's fist easily, squeezing. The boy's two protectors gasped, hands moving out accusingly to Brim

"BJ!"

"Little Blue!"

By now, Bebi had gotten up, and this time jumped forward to stop this stupid game once and for all. Brim and BJ vanished, sending the grey figure flying into the room. Burter and Yamu immediately ran off, away from Bardock and Bebi, towards where they now felt Burter Jr's power. Bebi, knowing Brim was there, followed.

"What to do, what to do," Said the teenage boy, Kao. "Do you let your saiyan pride rule you, and fight me...or do you save the boy who is destined to die."

Bardock clenched his teeth. "I'll be back," he promised. "And then I'll kill you."

Kao laughed, leaning his head back, as Bardock ran off to help the small reptile. He knew Burter Jr may only have one chance, but Bardock could find Kao anytime. There was no hiding from a saiyan.

-----

The wastelands. It was obvious that Brim was asking for a fight. All four of the warriors pursuing him had nothing but the biggest intentions of giving him the fight of his life.

"So is this the big plan, Brim?" Burter asked as he and Yamu landed. Bebi and Bardock landed about five seconds later. "You can't get someone else to beat us, so you want to be the villain?"

Brim just grinned, "Me? A villain? No, no, no...I am just a mere executive giving the fans what they want."

"What's that?" Yamu asked, looking at Burter Jr. The small reptile was on his knees in front of Brim, his arm locked in a submission like hold.

"They wasnt' a real fight. And so do I. So I will offer you this...I want to fight you, Burter, one on one. If you succeed in killing me, this game will be over. I'm giving you the ultimate alternative to playing."

Bebi clenched his fists, stepping forward in front of Burter. "I'll fight you," the grey figure announced.

"I'm sure you would. But the offer isn't for you, Bebi."

Burter stepped forward this time, in front of Bebi. "Let him go, and I'll fight you." The reptilian told him. Brim shrugged and pushed BJ forward. The young boy ran into Yamu's arms, sobbing.

"No interuptions. You and me," Brim explained.

Burter shrugged, looking back. His clenched his fists, let his back come to rest for a moment...and then let out a roaring hiss that rivaled the largest snake in the universe. "RUUUUUUAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" Even the young Burter Jr, who had seen this once before, backed up in surprise. Burter's power grew, and his ki level rose beyond it's previous limitations.

He had ascended, once again, to Super Kaioken.

(Okay, Burter vs Brim. Now, I still expect you all to rp, so you can make anything you want up to keep you going, but you can NOT interupt the fight. If you want, have some FoF goons come out and take you all on, or you can watch the fight. This fight will be posted at the end of the round, or tomorrow night if there is an extension.)

Yamu wrapped a protective arm around the gifted little lizard known as Burter Jr. as his father launched an attack against the sickeningly confidant Brim. Bebi took a step forward as if to enter the fray but the steel-eyed Earth-Jin shot his arm out strait and stiff across the sun-glass eyes warrior?s chest. ?No.? He said simply not taking his eyes of his large azure friend.

Bebi turned to the quick tempered human and tried to give a reassuring smile that came out all mouth, ?Grim owes me. I am NOT missing my chance now.?

?And YOU will not insult my friend?s honor by interfering on his dual. I will kill you myself first.?

?I refuse to stand here with Grim right in front of me.?

Yamu turned to say more but as he looked over Bebi?s grey shoulders he could see several humanoid shapes with the unmistakable flares of ki surrounding their bodies and hurtling them through the air. ?THAT should distract you for a moment.? The human turned his head again to see the one he called Big Blue sending a huge red aura out in all directions.

The tiny tot looked up at his human uncle, showing the tear stains he had left in his weighted pants, disturbed by the Earth-Jin?s words ?Yamu you are not going to help him? Help dad?

The bald human looked down with a pained mixture of sadness and determination, ?I can?t. A fighter is only as good as his reputation and your father is no liar and no coward and I will not be the one to make him either. He knows what he is doing?and?? Yamu?s scouter kept ticking up at a rate that seemed impossible, ?by that looks of his new power up he won?t need me.? Yamu decided the mini lizard-man needed a little reassurance. ?Chin up, Little Blue. It isn?t real?if he ?dies? he just goes back to Arlia and we will be hanging out in the kitchen again eating everything the markets have to offer.?

?But?but?its so real??

?I know Little Blue?I know.? He reassuringly squeezed the reptilian?s arm and rubbed it as if he thought he was cold. He then realized his words did not even comfort himself.

There was a long pause, ?Yamu,? BJ said not looking up from the ground his foot played with, ?if he does ?die? will you?will you send me back to??

It took the freakish figured human a moment to understand the request, ?Don?t talk like that! I will not even give that a response because I know your father and he is not going to lose. Watch this battle and see a true warrior in action.?

(OOC: Short, but I want to see what Bebi and Bardock do.)

BURTER VS BRIM

Though there are a thunderous clap in the air, and a sound that seemed similar to a lightning bolt striking the ground, neither had evidence to show they existed. Rather, the sounds came from the crimson aura that surrounded the azure shaded reptile. His obscene power had been increased the farthest he had pushed it, almost to 89 million in ki level. His sheer power vibrating from his trembling body shook the ground under him, a feeling he had only felt once before, when dealing with the dreaded Raditzu. Now he was like the long-haired saiyan. Powerful beyond measure.

Brim, to his cause, had only summonded a small matching teal aura around his otherwise weakling body. The lizard man couldn't sense his ki, but he imagined that the producer was a lot stronger then he looked; something he had learned in his years of fighting. Brim moved into a fighting stance, one arm towards Burter, as if tempting him to charge. "You've gotten much stronger."

Ignoring the man for now, Burter crouched, ready to launch forward. He looked up one last time, ready to start the biggest battle of his life. He could end this foolish game, right here...right now.

The bulky legs pushed off, sending Burter towards his oppenent at an alarming rate. He floated above Brim, throwing down his fists at a speed that could tear apart a bulldozer. Brim simply brought his arms up, flinching as the pain shot through his body, using his own limbs to block the massive attacks. For Burter, it was like hitting a brick wall, as nothing seemed to penetrate through the seemingly nerdy figure. Burter landed with an "oomph," though still even with an increased arsenal of kicks, Brim was able to painfully block with melee attack. The producer grew wary of the defensive side of the battle, jolting a kick into Burter's mid-section. The reptile caught it and threw it backwards, sending Brim into a backflip, which he landed.

Now seperated, both fighters shot two ki blasts from the green and blue fingers respectively, but upon hitting each other they only cancelled out. Burter jumped sideways, sprawling like small ki blasts like a machine gun, not to kill Brim but just to wear him down. The producer, though strong, was clearly outclassed by the skill of Burter's fighting prowess. Some of the blasts broke through his defenses, but the majority of them were deflected. When Burter landed and rolled back to the feet, Brim was there to meet him. Burter felt his feet being kicked out from underneath him, Brim grabbed the fallen reptile's arm, squeezing and bending it the way it wasn't made to bend.

"This is it, Burter," Brim taunted in his ear, as if he had already won. "You arn't walking away from this alive."

Burter fought to one knee, trying to force himself up as he fought through the pain of the submission hold. Brim applied more pressure, but the added burden of Yamu and his dear son being near by helped Burter push farther up off the ground. "No," he protested, now on one foot. "This is far from OVER!"

Though the air is where Brim was sent to when Burter launched his body off the ground and out of the gripping arm hold. Spinning around, he kicked the producer upwards into the sky, now floating along it himself. "Crimson Ball!" A blast matching the rosy red colour of the Kaioken aura erupted from Burt's palm, heading up to meet a now slowing down Brim. When Brim turned, his first reaction was to bring an arm up to block it, but this specific blast erupted into a fiery explosion on impact. The producer grimaced, but held his own, left with only a bruise on his arm and some burn marks along his body.

Burter headed forward, up towards the powerful producer with the intention of ending the fight before it escalated. Alas, he was destined to fail. The producer put his hand out, and just as quick as the battle began, he ended it. "Rayuuka-HAAA!" A greenish blast swallowed the crimson-covered azure reptile, the fiery build up almost more then he could stand. His clothing was ripped, his scales starting to peel away by the immense pressure. By the time he realized where he was, he had slammed into the ground, a small crator produced by his impact.

By now, Bebi, Bardock, Yamu, and Burter Jr had finished off their own oppenents and had moved forward to help Burter. The reptile was already on one knee by the time they were over to him. "Don't," he barked at them, moving up to his feet. Brim landed in front of him, giving him a sucker punch in the eye for good measure. He then jabbed him twice, and a headbutt for good measure. With Burter on his knees, Brim used his own to knee the reptilian in the forehead, dropping the beaten body to the ground.

"Daddy!" Burter Jr moved forward, but Yamu's arm blocked him from movement.

"I've already set the collar, Burter," Brim taunted, moving around him. Bardock was doing all he could to control himself and Bebi from killing the man right there. "When I kill you, you won't return to the living world, or the dead. Rather, you will cease to exist. My inventions to manipulate death have exceeded to the point I can recreate it myself."

"You...and your dramatic endings," Burter spat out some blood, unable to have any intimidation in his voice.

"I don't want you to go down too easily," Brim turned around, looking at the companions. "I'm going to kill you all with one single blast. You have one shot to stop me, Burter." Brim then vanished, appearing far overhead. Burter was pulled up by his companion, Yamu, struggling to maintain his balance.

"Don't be a fool," Bebi told the reptile. "You won't succeed."

"You're wrong," Burter protested. "I will."

"Not alive," Bebi corrected.

This time, Burter didn't take the opposition. "You're right." He looked up at Brim, who was, as promised, building up a blast. "I'm leaving. For good."

"No!" Burter Jr clung to his father's leg, looking up, the innocent eyes almost changing Burter's mind. The reptile, however, shook his head.

"You have Yamu, and Bra, and Uub. And Bardock here. You will live without me."

"I don't wanna!" Tears struck the smaller lizard-man's voice, breaking it into sobs.

Burter kneeled. "There is a time when you have to fight for what you believe in. I hope one day you will get to do that, like I have." He leaned in, and so nobody else could hear his voice but his own kin, he whispered: "I love you."

There were no long goodbyes. Burter stood up and clapped hands with Yamu, then nodding to Bardock. He looked at Bebi, nodded, but got no response. He shrugged, assuming Bebi was still fuming over his lost chance at Brim.

Burter took to the skies, towards the blast that could potentionally end all of the life on the asteroid. It was a strange feeling for the reptile; flying to his doom. Most people would be sad, but looking back on his life, the reptilian was glad he could end it like this. With friends, and with a son. And best of all, he would die fighting; a goal he dreamed for.

The green blast inside Brim's palm began to stir, and finally, unleashed in a thunderous roar. "Hyper Rayuuka!" Burter put both of his bloody arms up, concentrating, waiting...waiting...

"KINETIC DESTRUCTION!" The blast was halted as if running into a brick wall, sprawling Burter back. The reptile used his ki sheild to slowly move forward, closing the gap between himself and Brim. His pulse raced, his mind reeled, it was all going to end, if he could just get closer...sooo close. Burter bit his lip, almost causing yet another blood wound.

"You lost! Why won't you die!?" Brim angrily pushed against Burter, but nothing could beat a determined reptilian.

Burter looked up, and through the mists of ki, light, power and energy, Brim could see a wiry grin upon the doomed reptilian's face. The man ushered one final word. "Boo!"

When the power then Brim had used against Burter exploded in his face, Burter could feel everything change. Figures flashed amongst his face. Bra; A girl who changed the reptilian to a bitter loner to the leader of his own alliance. Uub; A young human who saw past the exterior of a lonely reptile and got to know the kind personally inside him. Slug; A namek who taught Burter that size didn't matter. Hellfighter; An android who proved that anything was possible; no matter who you were or where you came from. Yamu; A human who's love and adoration was matched only by his loyalty and courage. Raditzu; A cocky saiyan who taught Burter that respect was earned, not given. Kami; An elder namek that put his trust in a reptile he had only just met. Furiza; The changling who proved that anybody can change. Goku; A friend and warrior that would forever go down as the kindest of them all.

Finally, one final image crossed the dying reptile's vision. Burter Junior. The reptile who would carry the legacy of his entire race on his shoulders. He would live a grand, laughter-filled journey with the many people that shaped Burter's life the way it was. He would, one day, be the best. And he would prove it.

The story of the brave experienced reptile would come to an end, in that blast, where his sacrifice would turn the tides of Friend or Foe. He was dead. Forever.

-----

Somehow, he knew he was gone. Burter Junior was no longer sobbing. No...he was proud. His father was gone, but not forgotten. An odd feeling. The young boy was first guilty he was not crying, but soon was over it.

"He's still alive," Bebi told them. "Brim is there. My turn."

Bebi took the skies, unwilling to ask for permission anymore. As he headed up towards a certain fight, he vanished. So did everyone else.
