Basically the game of Breakball is taking two spheres of different properties and changing their course to score against targets all the while avoiding the opposing team from making their own goals. There are several key technologies behind the rough and tumble game that seem to go unnoticed beneath the blare of roaring crowds and blood sprays which, if examined, could drastically change the way this game is viewed.

The Bol-Strijd
Originally the technology behind creating these massive shields were based on the want to put up a heavier defense upon large cruisers owned by both Saiya-jin and Changling forces. After the might of the army had been destroyed during the climactic ending upon Earth, shipyards slowly filled with these metallic beasts. What couldn't be scrapped as easily as the rest of the ship was the parts for the barrier generators known as a "flux compassitor". Built with the density to withstand force from both space and other violent conflicts, disarming nevertheless taking apart the machine seemed an impossible job.

Though with the start of what seems to be an ever growing game known as "Breakball", there was suddenly a desperate need to cut down on the causalities when certain elements of the game placed themselves on the viewing public. Now, thanks to donations, players are kept in harm's way while the audience isn't.

While in use for the large space vehicles originally built upon, the problem of having the field only extend to the half of the ship that it was built upon arose. Because of this, researchers looked to a new type of force known as "synthetic gravity" which allowed the large barrier inside to pull objects made of metal upon whim of it's generators towards the center. With this new technology in hand, designers applied it to the center most portions of crafts so that the ship may be centered at all times as well as absorb shock from incoming assaults with more ease.

Active as a playing field, the barrier is able to draw in on this synthetic gravity to an ever changing certain degree. This enables the spheres in play to keep movement while the players keep free of the effects brought on by the monstrous shield. Given the name "Bol-Strijd" by the Saiya-jin peoples which, in their tongue, translates out to mean 'battle sphere'; a name rightfully given.

The Bol-Kleine
Empathizing the same programming associated with Stasis Field Grenades, what knowledge has been taken from there and fused together with the nano-technology famously known within Capsule Corp.'s most recent line of scouters to create this ingenious little item. Though controlled remotely due to their small pea-like appearance, the defense shielding put up by these miniature generators can range anywhere between the size 6-10 feet-in-diameter sphere.

As part of the package that came along with using L.E.N.S technology, the barriers react violently with any sort of conflict that seem to come in contact with it till a single key part had been singled down in the electrical makeup of the barriers. Every ion that extends from the pea looks for contact with another which makes the force field possible, but now when met with something hard where atoms refuse to move; the ions began speeding up to attempt to break through it. With this, a crimson color changes the normally light blue colored ions for a period of time before they begin settling down again.

Bol-Katchin (Katchin Sphere)
A small metal projectile of pure unbreakable fury which is as fatal upon contact as it is quick to sight. Thanks are to Arlia-sei technology for their recent breakthrough in splitting air resistance, a slick coating has been doused upon the metal's surface to enable lightening fast acceleration ten times its normal pace. Though sonic booms from the small orb are almost regular there has been fable that a force much greater has been released from bypassing the speed of light for a second under perfect conditions.

Bol-Titanium (Titanium Sphere)
Bulkier in size and broader in shape then its Katchin counterpart, this orb is one of the more sought after spheres while in play. A decrease in speed from the larger diameter has brought the sphere to a little less than forty miles per hour yet that doesn't divert from the extreme amount of force needed to alter its course. If brought up to speed, it has been known to plow through two or three competitors before coming to a reasonable alacrity.

The Breakball Stadium
Standing twenty stories tall in a basking glory of both mended metal and stone, these beautiful pieces of masterful architecture are definitely a sight to behold. A curving hallway runs around each floor that feeds a stairway that leads either into the seating within the bowl-shaped arena or up and down into the different levels. Within the center of the massive stadium the ground has been removed for even more crowd occupants to seat themselves, another fifteen levels have been added with this simple notion of expansion down below; yet flat bottom flooring has been saved.

As custom, many vendors have set themselves up in the endless halls and floors of the arena to provide their many services and products up for the public to purchase. Several days before the tournament is scheduled to start the beast of iron stone is decorated from top to bottom in the various colors and combinations to show unity amongst the many visiting planets, which tend to fill the arena seating to the brim.

Currently the only one in existence is known as the Eos, built permanently upon the Eastern side of the planet away from the troublesome bickering of militant forces. About the large coliseum a small city is sprawled out consisting of shops and hotels only slightly enough to host the spectators during their stay, this is also where the pre-tournament celebrations will take place that lead eventually to the ceremonies inside the arena itself.

Angles at Work
As one may have guessed, this game isn't your normal run-of-the-mill sporting events that just anyone can pick up off the bat. While being physically challenging, a player must also keep in mind the physics being push and pulled in order to get those scoring shots into play. Many have wondered how it is to control a speeding bullet or a small dense comet yet explanations are few to none in comparison to the few ways of adjusting their speed to your own desire. Mainly it's about changing the way the momentum flows through the object, using freely moving limbs to swing about or hit the sphere in the main direction you wish it to move in; the only draw back being the constant recoil experienced through the body when struck.

Most of the time the barrier generated about the playing field will reflect the sphere away on contact, other times static plays a roll in guiding the orbs along. Few times speed will meet friction in an interesting creation of a bond between one another, sending the metallic sphere along a course before being ripped away from the wall once a sonic boom is reached to send it catapulting back into play.

Unfortunately this sport takes a lot out of the contestants no matter what their strengths as keeping levitation, movements, and senses at a constant alert while avoiding attacks by the other team drains a body quickly. Thanks to a micro device placed upon members of each team behind their neck connected directly with their vital conditions, the first sign of unconsciousness in the host will result in a spontaneous burst of energy throughout their body; allowing them to pass through the barrier without harm to themselves to land upon the flat of the ground below.
