Judging
#1
I'm the sole judge. That means everything is based off my opinion and mine alone. I'm not bias to an individual but I do hold bias towards how I like to read things. Obviously, I can't control what I do and do not enjoy, but I can be fair and let you in on it.

Unlike FoF, there is no point value or anything. I'm going to simply read everything and given a final decision based off my opinion. In FoF, it was strongly geared towards people who roleplay the most. In this case, it won't be. Just because you rp every day doesn't mean you are gonna kick the most ass. For some, one strong roleplay every 2-3 days could be even better then two normal ones.

I prefer short to medium posts. Long novel posts bore me 90% of the time, but there is an off-chance you might be able to sway me with one that's good.

I love emotion, and going into a character's thoughts and feelings of the current situation. Normally I don't give a damn about the past of a character unless it has to do with the situation at hand.

Too much description is boring, but I like enough that gives me a picture of what is happening.

The following will be added to the above post:

Also to add, the following things will go through my mind when deciding eliminations:

-Do I want to find out more about this character?
-Do I feel this character can bring bigger things to him/herself or others?
-Do I want to continue to root for, or against this character?

Things like that. It's all about the character, not just how much your write or how great your writing is.

Now I know a lot of people simply can't change how they write. That's fine. Don't. But at least attempt to go over a few of these guidelines I've put in here and incorporate into your own style, rather then completely changing it. If you have a style that I just can't get into, and refuse to improvise, then that's a problem for both of us.

Aside from writing, the following will come into affect

--Ki Level. Someone who has 1 ki better be spitting out Stephen King quality rps if he wants to beat someone with 1,000 ki. Power-Ups come into play too. If you wanna use a power-up, you just lemme know that you'll use a power-up in the next fight you're in. However, you'll be tired for a certain amount of time (6 hours for 10x, 15x and 20x. 12 hours for x40. 18 hours for fusion and 24 hours if a third tier is reached with the help of an item). Being tired will be a slight disadvantage in fights, and you can't power-up again till you arn't tired anymore.

--Alliances. 6 on 1 is obviously better odds then 1 on 1. At least, it is for the 6 =x. But of course, if the 1 is a magnificent rper, he could live.

--Injuries, which will be gained as a result of fights. If you barely survive a fight (like a close judged fight), the injury will be more serious. If it's a landslide win, you likely will get away unscathed.

--Weapons. Obviously someone who has something like a machine gun Ki Rifle is gonna have a slight advantage over someone who has a spoon.

--Mental Stats play the tiebreaker role.

Isn't the point of multiple judges so that a multitude of different roleplayers don't have to bend their writing styles to a single person's liking? The benefit of multiple judges is that it provides opinions of yay or nay such that bias is regardless because majority rules.

Yes, that's the point of multiple judges. Unfortunetly, we don't have that luxury. You're stuck with me.

I was just curious as to what happened to the rest of the moderating staff. What exactly led to this being a one-man moderation of DA? Do they lack the time? Are they being lazy?

It just seems odd that such a massive event would be handled solely by one person. What's the reasoning for this?

Well, for starters, it was my idea.

Also, it's a difficult thing to do with more then one person running it, since I have to track everything while stopping what I'm doing to write on the spot.

And the biggest reason is everyone on staff wants to be in it
