Pop!

The android opened his eyes only to find himself in a small clinic, filled with white beds and medical tools, all of which Thirteen knew from his past life. Attempting to stand, a sudden feeling of dizziness washed over the machine-hybrid and he found himself falling back to the ground. A buzz in his head offered no comfort to the issue and it actually caused more problems. A headache was pounding away and his mind felt like jell-o, needless to say, Thirteen wasn?t in the best of conditions.

Suddenly, a small monitor clicked on and the collar around the android popped off. Almost instantly all of the energy returned to the machine-hybrid, restoring him nearly to full health. Glancing at the screen, he noted the sudden flashes of light, which quickly formed into the flamboyant Karl Jak.

?Welcome Contestant.? spoke the gay man over the television. ?Obviously, you are a loser and have been booted from the game. Thank you for playing Dante?s Abyss, perhaps next year you will stand a better chance. Good luck on your voyage to where ever it is that you choose, free teleportation will allow you passage to where ever you choose in the known universe. Once again, thank you for choosing Dante?s Abyss as your yearly entertainment and we hope to see you next year.?

There was a slight slick in the television and then the screen flipped to a white screen with scrolling text.

?Please make your way to the teleportation system and announce the planet of your choice.?

Thirteen thought this over for a moment, then stepped into the system, he had just the place, he needed to find his Eighty, who said he would be easily found in one location and one location only.

?Earth.?

Suddenly, the air around him became hot and in an instant, he vanished into the air, leaving the planet Dante and that forbidden island behind him. He was a changed man, his life had become unveiled, it was time to improve and grasp his destiny and there was only one person that knew how to do that, his brother.

Buu?s body worked in strange ways.

The life of the warrior would not end until his internal dimension (containing such vital organs as his stomach and brain) was destroyed. The only way to do this was to destroy it from the inside, or destroy all traces of his external body.

The monster had been destroyed in Dante?s Abyss, but there still remained a fragment of his body in existence.

Quote:Flashback to before the competition ?

?We?d better take a DNA sample as well,? grunted one of the soldiers, pulling out what seemed to be a small glass container and a metal scalpel.

?What?s that for?? asked Buu, eyebrow raised.

?In case you get killed,? explained one of the other officials, lowering his black sunglasses so that he could deliver a pitying smirk.

The pink monster was beginning to regret his leaping into this competition. Unfortunately, however, backing out didn?t seem to be an option at this point.

The soldier?s scalpel scraped lightly across the surface of the creature?s skin, taking with it a few traces of puttalin. Dumping the sample unceremoniously in the glass case and screwing on this lid, the man saluted.

?Good luck!?

And with that, the pink humanoid vanished.

The jar had sat around on a shelf in a storage room, containing that tiny scraping of puttalin. As Buu?s consciousness could only inhabit one body at a time, it had simply lain there. Alive, yet not.

Until a nail came slamming through the chest of the ?real? Super Buu.

He hadn?t died at that, though. The monster was more stubborn than his opponent could have known. He?d been blown to pieces before. In Dante?s Abyss, such a wound ensured his death, but the pain was nothing new. Even though he felt the world blacking out around him, he struggled to his feet. With his last breath, he didn?t just ensure that Minoshia lost the contest, but he sent him to the afterlife. True vengeance for Seventeen.

Immediately, the piece of puttalin that had lain dormant sprung to life. It looked like a piece of chewed gum at first, but soon it began to grow. Stretching, increasing its mass until it filled the jar. Cracks begin to emerge on the glass container, and then, with a loud crack, it smashed, allowing the now hand-sized glob to roll to the floor. It pooled outwards, bubbling as a figure began to rise from the ashes.

Ten minutes later, Super Buu stood, fully formed. A single word escaped his grinning lips.

?Immortal.?

Striding out of the room as if he had never died, he emerged through a set of sliding doors into a white, futuristic-white corridor. He supposed the other fighters would have to be recreated using their DNA, but Buu wasn?t going to wait for that slow process when his own way was so much better.

As the puttylike being wandered idly, trying to find a way out of the building, a gasp sounded from behind him.

?What are you doing in here??

The monster turned on his heel and laughed aloud. Of all the people! A white-coated human, holding a clipboard and a pen, stood with a look of utter exasperation upon his face.

?Froidenburg!? greeted Buu. ?That Bio Armour you sold me worked wonders!?

Ignoring him, the man whined. ?Mister Buu! You were supposed to wait for the recreation process!?

?Psh, I?m not going to sit around waiting for you slowpokes. When it comes to regeneration, I?m light years ahead of science.?

Froidenburg pouted. ?I was hoping to get a look at your DNA.?

?Hm.? The rubbery being stroked his chin momentarily, deep in thought. Then, without hesitation, he pinched off a piece of his arm and placed it in the scientist?s hand. ?Knock yourself out, egghead.? As he turned away, he stopped, patting his body as if having gotten the notion that he had suddenly sprouted breasts. ?I think I feel stronger. Zenkai ? nice.?

With that, he wandered off, leaving the white-coated man in awe at the chewing gum-like substance in his hand.

***

Buu stepped up to the exit desk and rapped his knuckles a few times to seize the attention of the secretary. ?Yo, toots. I need to get back to Lord Vine?s palace, where I was before the competition. Can you do that for me??

The woman scowled. ?I?ll need to take your name first.?

?Super Buu.?

?For coming in third place, you have been awarded a sum of 3200 zeni.? She pulled out a giant bag.

Buu?s eyes popped. ?Sweet.? Seizing the bag, he threw it down his gullet.

?Sir ? that?s not for eating.?

?I know!? spat the majin irritably. ?Not everyone?s stomach is as primitive as yours, human.?

?The Palace of Jade, right?? the woman spat sarcastically, not waiting for a response before hitting a few buttons on her desktop keypad. With a short spark of electricity, the nearby teletube pinged to life. The message above it, which had previously read ?to Arlia?, now read ?Vegeta - Moon?.

Super stepped into the tube, the glass panel slid shut behind him, and he vanished.

***

The feeling of being dropped from a very high place was disconcerting, but this time, Buu was ready. Throwing his arms out in front of him, he managed to stumble a few feet before the inevitable trip n? fall. ?Ugh ??

A hand appeared in front of his face.

?Huh?!? He looked up and then scooted back a few feet. ?Oh ? Vine.? A look of shame washed over his face. ?I know what you?re going to say. I failed you.?

?On the contrary, Buu.? The half-saiyan, half-tuffle spoke gruffly and seriously. ?You ? did me proud. You went up against those many times more powerful than you, and you emerged stronger for it.?

The pink humanoid?s eyes widened in disbelief. Praise? His amazement was put on pause as another voice cut through the air.

?Booger!?

A girl collided with him, throwing her arms around the monster?s neck. Another voice soon followed, gruff and monotone.

?Looks like my training has rubbed off on you.?

Buu got to his feet, detaching the brown-haired saiyan that was clinging on. He smiled respectfully. ?Iorek.?

?I was watching you through the whole competition.? The white-haired saiyan smirked. ?That girl with the purple hair you were with ? she was quite the firecracker. And I never knew you had a brother.?

?There?s a lot you don?t know about me.? The majin grinned. ?Hey, where?s Seventeen? He must be out by now.? Watching their faces all fall in unison a confused look emerged on his face. ?What? What is it??

Vine spoke first.

?Seventeen is dead.?

?Man, this one?s pretty stupid. If I were him, I would have taken that medical kit and ran,? a guard grumbled, leaning against a desk.

?You?re just pissed because you bet on him,? the scientist chuckled, quirking an eyebrow. His fingers flew furiously over his keyboard, typing in some sort of code.

The guard flipped a coin absentmindedly in the air. ?He was on the cusp of the finale! That?s a pretty shitty time to go.?

?Did you see who killed him? The old geezer didn?t stand a chance,? the other argued. His companion clenched the coin in his palm and walked over to the tube, peering through the glass.

?He doesn?t look that old to me,? the Syntex sentry commented. ?Unless you think, like, twenty-something is old.?

?Biologically, no, he?s not that old. Chronologically, however?? the scientist answered vaguely, pushing his glasses farther up his nose. ?I?m just now finishing out mapping his neurological pathways. This guy?s got enough memories for two lifetimes. Can?t figure out why.?

?Eh, whatever,? the grunt said, shaking it off. ?The guy was a dick anyway. I?ll pick better next year.?

He strolled back to his position, finding another subject to complain about. ?Man this guy is taking forever to regenerate.?

The scientist just smiled and shook his head, his eyes darting from one monitor to the next.

Where am I?

The first unconscious thought any sentient being would think.

Muffled voices could be heard from some dark beyond.

Am I?alive?

At that thought, Bardock?s eyes shot open and he exhaled in shock. Instead of air coming from his mouth, it was bubbles. He was floating in some kind of tank. A murky liquid surrounded his naked body with its icy chill. A black mask was over his face, feeding him oxygen. Instinctually, he panicked, his first action that of escape.

Fortunately, it wasn?t necessary. The glass wall dividing him from the rest of the world dropped, spilling the foamy liquid onto the floor as it slid across the tile. Bardock was a bit startled, and his hands reached out for something to grab onto. The saiyan choked, resisting the urge to vomit, as his fingers grasped onto the edge of the opening, and his figure fell forward.

As he lurched, a slough of fragmented memories came flooding into his consciousness.

Flash. A body tumbling on top of his, knocking him to the ground. Flash. A shell of ki tearing through his flesh, throwing him backwards. Flash. The cold steel of a trigger resting beneath his finger as he pulled it. Flash. A dark, longhaired figure leveling a shotgun at his head. Flash. Words floating on the wind? ?Good?jo??

Bardock?s head quaked at their sudden onslaught, his eyes sharply dilating as they flashed teal before fading to black. He brought a hand up to rip off the mask and cover his face.

He was alive?as promised.

Slowly, the fighter pulled his hand away, staring at his own palm. A moment passed before he looked up to survey his surroundings. His eyes of coal focused on a single entity that stood in his line of sight, clad in a white lab coat.

?Welcome back,? the person nodded, almost pityingly.

Moments later, Bardock had completed dressing himself, fixing the bandana atop his forehead. They had managed to recover all of his personal belongings. He had also received a new cloak and zeni as his prize. The best prize of all, he knew, was becoming stronger, both physically and mentally. The bronze bruiser had touched gold, and now it was only a matter of time before he harnessed its great wrath.

?I don?t remember giving you my DNA,? the fighter said.

?Well, ahh,? the scientist began, slightly embarrassed. He reached behind his head, rubbing the back. ?You didn?t?I mean?we?erm??

?Well?? Bar inquired, throwing his gaze.

The young nerd reached into a cabinet and pulled out an airtight bag. Unzipping it, he presented a dirtied glass. His cheeks turning red, the scientist presented it with a reluctant ?ta-da.?

Bardock leered at the glass as if it was his enemy.

?You handed it off to the guards just before the ship took off. With it, we were able to recover both your fingerprints to successfully mold onto your new fingertips and get your DNA, and well, the rest is history. It?s a very complicated process, one that you probably couldn?t understand. Heck, heh, even I have trouble sometimes,? the scientist blathered nervously. He pointed at the warrior?s face. ?Yeah, it?s a real shame though, for some reason I couldn?t get rid of that scar. I couldn?t figure out why??

The former contestant wheeled on the geek. ?You mean you regenerated all of this?? he motioned frantically to himself, ??from my backwash?!?

?Uh?yeah?the miracles of modern science!? the tech shrugged.

Bardock took a menacing step forward. ?If you fucked up in any way whatsoever??

A pair of guards came to escort him out, informing him that it was time to go and to choose a planet to be transported on. Bardock stepped onto the teleporter. The friend of the scientist was still leaning against the desk, fiddling with his coin.

?Vegeta-sei,? the saiya-jin commanded.

?Can do,? the tech answered, hovering over his monitor and preparing the transfer. He took one last look at the warrior. ?Oh, by the way. The game is over. Your son, he won!?

Bardock glanced at the scientist, and then looked away, smirking with a snort.

Narrowing his eyes and growling in his throat, the guard who?d lost his bet stared at the monitor. The scientist had been passing over Earth on his way to Vegeta in the menu. Grinning, he punched the button, sending Bardock along his merry way.

That?ll teach you to lose me money, you dick, the Syntex employee thought as the saiyan dematerialized.

"Move!" Android 20 roared over the din of gunfire and the continual pounding rain that screamed down mercilessly from the heavens.

They just got Violet behind you! Super Buu's been knocked aside, he can't do anything for us now! We've got to get to higher ground! Gero announced telepathically, as his Astral Projection raced about furiously in an attempt to scout out anything in this torrential downpour.

I'm trying! Damn it all! We should have expected an ambush! Android 20 responded, very frustrated by the situation as a whole.

Things were going downhill fast. He and Krillin were on the run, and they knew they would have to stand and fight soon. But they couldn't do it now, not here. They had to find a more defensible region, in order that Twenty would be able to power up to his maximum strength to give it everything he had.

This rain... it's too much! I can't see a thing! Gero groaned.

You've got to be able to see something! We don't want to wander into another- Twenty began to respond, but the last word that would complete his sentence was filled in for him with the sudden appearance of a very familiar android.

Thirteen.

What?

Twenty didn't even have a chance to unleash his strength. Only his mind was able to keep up with the blinding speed at which Android 13 brought his massive hammer around to slam into Twenty's ribcage, and shatter all the way through.

The android lay still for a moment, laying there, pinned against a boulder by a bloodied and now oil-covered hammer that penetrated his chest. Sparks of electricity jolted out of his body at the aperature, and his internal systems quickly began to fall apart.

Twenty! What happened to us? the voice of Gero finally appeared, as his Astral Projection must have finally found their body.

We're dying. Twenty responded simply.

The invisible Astral Projection of Gero looked around for the perpetrator. Krillin stood perfectly still on the spot, his eyes seeming to be glazed over slightly as he stared at their mangled and dying body. And then he spotted the other one, the one he knew must be responsible. He shook his head sadly, and then felt his own life fading, as he was still connected to his body. His Astral Projection dissipated, and Gero rejoined his mind with his body for their final moments of life here in Dante's Abyss.

"Twenty? You okay?" Krillin finally asked the android after a very tense silence.

Thirteen removed the hammer from Twenty's body, and a renewed burst of sparks jettisoned from his chest cavity. Twenty turned his head slowly to the side, and began to laugh, slowly, and painfully, but he began to laugh. It was strange to the android, to die slowly. To be able to at least have a moment to reflect, instead of it all ending instantly, as it had done for him so many times before. He made one last chuckle, and then gave the sadly clueless Krillin a final response.

"No."

And then he died.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The room was bright, shiny and smelled like old people. The android immediately knew it was some sort of medical facility. His crimson eyes looked around the room he was in curiously, and then he sat up, apparently in a bed.

"Good, you're finally awake. Took you a while to come around after the regeneration process." a man dressed in the white, sterile clothing of a doctor stated, noticing the android was awake.

"So, I suppose this means I'm alive?" Android 20 asked.

"Sorry to disappoint if you were hoping you wouldn't be, but yes, you are." the doctor answered smartly.

"Fine. Now how do I get out of here? They said you could transport us to whichever planet of our choosing." Android 20 muttered irritatedly. "I have someone to track down."

"Oh, that, of course. Just name the planet and we'll make sure you get there as soon as you're feeling better." the doctor consoled the android.

"I feel fine, but you won't be if you don't tell me how to get off this rock!" Android 20 snapped, his usual volatile temperment already back again.

"Well don't blame me when you twist a hip or something, old-timer. What's the planet?" the doctor asked snottily.

"Earth." Twenty answered quickly, and then continued. "And by the way my good man..."

Crack

Twenty's fist collided with the jaw of the doctor in a flash, sending him spiraling across the room.

"Don't you EVER call me an old-timer!"

"The hell?"

"Sir, it's alright."

"Ok, but where the hell am I?"

"Sir, please, calm down."

"I'm calm. I'm cool."

"Sir! Lay back down! The doctor will be with you shortly!"

"I just said, I'm good. Where am I? Did I lose?"

"If you do not lay back down, I'll need to call security."

It was a simple move. When confronted with someone he thought was acting foolishly, he'd get a twitch in his mouth and scratch the back of his head. What Krillin felt, or rather, didn't feel, caused his mouth to gape open in shock. He promptly fainted back onto the bed, just as the Commie nurse had wanted. Convenient, really, though Krillin would likely puke when he came to.

----------------------

Krillin puked when he came to. And, as tends to be the case with anyone who pukes while reclined, the waste particles flew into the air and were pulled back down by gravity onto the hospital gown.

The doctor standing nearby took no notice, but Krillin had a question. "Why do you guys make these things white?"

"Excuse me?"

"Well, y'know, pretty much every bodily fluid we've got would stain these things. Why not make 'em black or something?"

"Tradition."

"And you can bleach 'em and reuse 'em?"

The doctor looked uneasy. Krillin must've cracked the code.

"How do you feel? Headache, I'm sure. That's actually a good sign."

"Yeah. What'd you guys do?"

"We regenerated your body."

"Wasn't I dead?"

"Sorta. There's a bunch of mumbo-jumbo with the collars that kept you alive and all, while still being kinda dead."

"That doesn't sound very scientific."

"That's because it's actually very scientific."

"Ah."

The rest of the conversation was very boring. In a matter of minutes, Krillin was up. In another couple minutes, they removed all of the cumbersome IV cables and such, and Krillin was out the door.

"Planet?"

"Huh?"

"What Planet do you want to go to?"

Krillin now noticed a piece of loose-leaf paper stuck to the front of the desk, just beyond the attendant's eyesight.

It said:

--To piss off the chick, ask her what your options are.--

Why would I want to do that? Krillin wondered.

The paper blew up at this point due to some inexplicable wind, allowing Krillin to read the other side.

--Because, fag. Just do it.--

That was good enough for Krillin.

"I'm sorry, what are my options?"

The attendant made a very long, drawn-out sigh indicating the lung capacity to expand and explode a hippopotamus.

"I'm joking. I do have a question, though. Has Android 20 checked through here yet?"

The attendant, relieved she was not required to cycle through every single Planet in the nearby Quadrant of the galaxy (like she had to for the four jerk-offs that came before Krillin), was all too happy to help the little bald one out.

"Yes."

"Destination?"

"Earth."

"Beam me up-"

Krillin read her nametag.

"-Lucy.

[Image: spacer.gif]Buu roared as he launched into the air, his fist tightening around the grip of the ki pistol. He fired off round after round at Trunks and Reijin, screaming bloody murder at the two saiyans in his cackling, nightmarish voice. Pain and purple blood poured from his bullet wounds as he soared at the two, his shots going wide because his eyes were out of focus, squinting through the hurt. But his determination was resolute, and unlike his ki blasts stayed straight and true. He would not give up so easily... Not before Super Buu was dead before him and lying in a pool of his own blood!

[Image: spacer.gif]The final volleys of the machine guns shattered the still morning air. Time seemed to move in slow motion for the majin, his hate-filled eyes staring forward as the luminescent bolts poured forth. He evaded one, stretched his body around another, and caught a third in his face. His head snapped back and he felt an uncomfortable, unnatural cracking from his neck where bones shouldn't have been, but thanks to the collar were. He seemed to drift in airi before the final blasts ripped through his chest and the underside of his chin, killing him instantly. He dropped out of the sky, headless and riddled with holes...

[Image: spacer.gif]He there was a sudden lurching in his stomach, although Buu didn't understand how that could have been possible, since his stomach didn't exist anymore, and he had no brain to feel it lurch in the first place. His body lay in a twisted heap on one of the recovery pads used by the medical staff, whole and undamaged. The collar's lights flickered once around the unconscious majin and then died, the remaining power that held it locked tight draining away. It released the locks of the bomb-filled technological necklace with a hiss.

[Image: spacer.gif]"He's healed? But... How?"

[Image: spacer.gif]Kid Buu slowly opened his eyes at the sound of the voice, and was shocked to find himself still alive. The coolness of the floor underneath him was strangely alien, but a delightful reminder that his life force was still tied to this dimension, no matter how hateful it had suddenly become. He flicked his firey red eyes over the large room before him, pushing himself up as he did. He leering evilly at the staff of the medical center, but there was no bite behind it; he felt miserable, despite having his immortality returned to him. He had been bested so easily, the first to die of the final group...

[Image: spacer.gif]Did his power mean nothing? He had been waiting to show his full potential to his brother, but now all he felt was a sickness in his stomach that had nothing to do with indigestion. He pushed himself upright with a grunt of pain and a growl, stalking past the medical personnel, who backed away from him. He wasn't sure where he was going, but he didn't care. The urge to move, to do something was overpowering, a compulsion from within that stabbed at him and urged him onward.

[Image: spacer.gif]By all rights, the Buu brothers should have been dead. But neither of them followed the rules of nature as laid out in the sciences. The medical staff averted their eyes by staring at their navels or at the ceiling, as if they were unwilling or unable to look at the impossibility of his immortality for too long. What should have been a simple case of getting a tissue sample and growing a clone has turned abruptly into a trip into Wonderland, where nonsense ruled.

[Image: spacer.gif]An armed guard escorted the shamed younger majin to the teleportation tubes with a reasonably good impersonation of calm detachment. The child stared at the information on the planets dully without reading them, wondering what he could do now. Dunhan hadn't been regurgitated yet, but that was a minor worry. He didn't care about the planets either, save for their distance from the planet Earth. He looked at the screens, at the fights going on. He couldn't bear to be there when Super Buu emerged. He knew that the older looking majin would smirk and talk confidently, condescendingly to him...! He would look into those eyes, and all the hatred would burst from him in one full torrent...!

[Image: spacer.gif]But not here, not now. There would be time for hate and for blood later, but for now he wanted to be alone. His eyes fell on the listing for a small green planet, and he pointed to it as he stepped onto the teleportation pad. In another stomach twisting flash of light and sound, Buu was whisked away to Namek, the televised image of Super Buu's roaring face searing into his eyes.

She found herself standing where she had started. Yet she was still alive and her heart pounded with the life force that was given to her at birth from her mother when she thought she had died. However was her heart cold once more, anger and hate flooding her blood streams as she thought of the last sight before her. The Saiya-jin Bardock. Last time she has met the male in DA was in a fight and this time as well. Although once foe the next ally, yet did they still fight.

The Saiya-jin female needed time to herself, she needed to clear her mind and realize that she would have to become stronger if she ever faced off with the male monster Bardock once more. She had a goal, that goal to make sure Bardock felt pain such as she felt.

?He has the same inner strength as I do, blast him and his blood line.? Screamed Selipa to herself as she made her way to a teleportation tube, her head hanging low. She was on her way to the green planet of Namek. There she would increase her power so that one day she would meet with the male known as Bardock again and show him the truth that was his error.

OOC: Yeh yeh late, what can I say, life is busy.

IC: Vegeta was gazing down at the floor when he came to. His eyes were still fluttered with tears as the image of his dying son vanished before him. The Saiya-jins lungs were inflating and exhaling with a subtle hint of complete health, meaning that he was still alive. It was odd, because he could almost still feel the stinging pain from his sudden death. Death to Raditzu wasn't something he appreciated, but he gained something far greater than a battle loss, he gained love for his son.

He looked up and noticed various teleportation tubes aligned with eachother. Above each one of them had a planet's name, providing a perfect title for the warriors to decide just where they wanted to go. This made it a whole lot easier to get home, no need for space ships or teleportation skills. He received a message from his newly found alliance, and his next target was a planet he feels held a strange name. He felt as if he had been there before, but there was only one way to find out.

"Arlia" He spoke as he approached the tiny structure. As soon as his body entered the pulsating energy waves, his embodiment vanished, and the king was no on his way to a new goal.

OOC: Yeh, Arlia here I come.

Striding down the hallway with cackling flames surrounding his body, Reijin glared at anyone who stepped near. He was not happy with the outcome, in the least. How had Raditzu managed to randomly flinch in such a way that he luckily caught Reijin's own punch? They had both stared for several moments in shock when it happened, with Raditzu recovering much quicker and tearing the ring away from Reijin.

He had tasted it. He had known a power far greater than any of them had achieved. He had reached the height of the Saiyan race, the grand epitome that every Saiyan had heard through myth. The third tier. Could HE even be the Legendary Super Saiyan?

He quickly dismissed such a thought... He did not believe in such things. After all, the only reason that he had attained it was due to that ring. But it was like a drug seeping through his veins now... He had to have it. His entire being craved the taste of that power.

A nearby attendant jumped as the Saiyan growled furiously, temporarily losing his cool and punching a doorframe as he walked through it. The flames around his body flashed out a bit, singing paperwork on a nearby desk before receding again. Something about the power had gotten to his head. He was having trouble with his emotions...

But with such loss of control... there was overwhelming power! There was a taste for blood that he felt the need to saturate, a primal frenzy that was seeking a climax. He found himself wanting release. He'd had many encounters recently that had pushed his limits. Though he'd always prided himself on keeping his control, he was beginning to wonder exactly what it was he was trying to prevent.

In the distance he saw his King walking through the gateway to Arlia. He had no clue why, but he had nothing to return to himself. Videl was gone. He was growing painfully aware of that now. He had nothing. He wanted to make others feel the same.

He stormed through the gate to Arlia, stepping into the TPT tube that lay beyond it...

?This,? said Bujin, breathing heavily from his anger, ?is for my friends.? Seventeen spun around sharply, tilting the weapon as he moved. Within the corner of his eye he caught glimpse of the weapon that the shrimp of a being was holding. The hammer was quite large, and although the hellfighter had endured many strong punches in his time, but he knew that his head, which was being targeted, would not be able to survive the impact. The android did what was instinct, though, and he pulled the trigger of his sniper rifle. The last sense he felt was the ringing in his ears as he closed his eyes.

***

?Fuck!? he exclaimed, opening his eyes. The fact that he had just died did not faze him, it was more the fact that he had lost the competition and he was now separated from his group?they were beginning to become quite close. ?At least I got to experience the beauty of the?? Seventeen looked to his hands mid-sentence and noticed that his gun was no longer with him, which was disappointing. ?Crap.?

?Hello, Seventeen,? interjected one of the Syntex workers. The humanoid looked up, slight anger embedded into his irises. ?You lost, but now you can choose whichever planet in the galaxy you wish to go to.?

?Where I came from,? he started, looking down on the bed he was sitting on, ?Arlia.?

?Alright then, just step through here,? he said, showing Seventeen to one of the teleportation tube they had set out.

?See yea, I guess,? said the android slowly before walking into the tube.

Metal Koola sat in the corner of the room knocking his head on the wall. How the hell had he allowed such a stupid fucking attack to kill him!? It was absolutely aggravating! He didn't like the way things ended at all. To be taken out by a single bullet and lay there dead... after doing so well the entire game up to that point! Sure he was missing two fingers and he was slightly charred, but that was nothing. He'd been through worse before. Next year would be different though, he was going to train harder than he ever had before... and by the time the next tournament rolled around, he'd be ready. He'd win this game and kill everyone that stood in his way. Maybe he'd team up with Vegeta and Rei again, but that wasn't a necessity... he'd just have to see what those two were up to.

Looking down at his fingers, he bent them back and forth. It sure was nice to be able to use them again. As well as his ability to regenerate limbs... fly... and all sorts of nifty things that were disabled during the DA competition. He was now going to head to Earth and see what was going on. He exited the room and quickly made his way off the planet. It was time to train, and train hard. Maybe he could find a few odd-jobs to complete to build up his reputation.
