Empty, to the naked eye. All the buildings were rotted filth, corpses littering the streets and homes.
Perhaps some investigating would yeild clues. Or perhaps it would yeild nothing...

There was a town, although uninhabited, a town nonetheless. That was right; one of the original groups had visited the deserted area. What had they found? Could they have discovered as much as she and her group had? What was it exactly that they were looking for now? Her thoughts dwelled on the matter, of what the angel had said. Demons, and Satan, somewhere they were here. Could they be in the town? She kind of hoped so; it would feel good to kick the shit out of something. While she flew behind Raditzu, she flexed her digits, and gritted her teeth. A fight would be good, but what if they found nothing? What a bummer that would be. There had to be demons somewhere, right? If Gabriel had said so, then it was the truth, hopefully.
They landed, boots crunched against the grit and dead grass. An ominous wind whistled against broken shutters and kicked up small dust clouds. ?What a place.? The android muttered, taking in the ghost town. It was void of life, from what they could see. Dead bodies were strewn upon worn window sills, and in the street. Death had consumed this place, its stench violated their nostrils, Eighteen wrinkled her nose in disgust. Would these people rise from the dead and wreak havoc on them as the others had? That could be fun, couldn?t it? She gave a timid look to her partner; he would probably revel in any upcoming gruesome battle. ?Well let?s see what this place has to offer, I?m hoping we find ourselves some demons.? One foot after the other, she trekked down the dusty path that led to the town. She side stepped a corpse here and there, somewhat hoping for them to groan and twitch in an effort to attack her. Alas, it was not so, these bipeds were as dead as a doorknob.
?I wonder what kind of people these were,? she started; their walk was slow paced, cautious. ?I mean, were they peaceful? Were they happy? It?s kind of interesting that there is a civilization here, I?ve never even heard of this place.? She brought up her hands and rested them behind her head in a casual manner, her cool eyes shifted left and right for any movement.
?Well, Mercy-Sei is an asteroid, and there are many people there.? Raditzu put in, and he was right. ?The planets we know are not the only ones out there, so it?s not strange that this asteroid had a civilization, we just didn?t know about it.? She turned to look at him; she tried to read his face. His features turned from serious to light hearted, and she smiled in return. ?Don?t get so deep, babe, no use dwelling on a dead asteroid. Yeah, sure, it used to be full of life, now it?s just a hunk of rock.? He waved a hand as if to dismiss their discussion, but the android still wondered.
?Well I hope they were happy, even if it has no use to me.? She lowered her hands and sighed some. ?Where are the demons!? Even some zombies would be nice.? They turned a corner in the street. She took note of the damaged buildings, and the rubble that had fallen upon the ground. ?You think the other group did that?? She pointed, but the Saiya-Jin only shrugged. ?Maybe there?s something big and nasty here, wouldn?t that be fun?? She chuckled and continued watching their surroundings while they walked. ?You know, if we?re looking for demons, don?t you think they?d be near some caves or something?? She looked toward Raditzu. ?They would come from below, wouldn?t they?? Of course, she was thinking typical demons, coming form the bowels of the planet.
?Not really,? She cocked a brow at his response, ?Well, sometimes they have this way of coming out of random portals.? The blonde blinked, that was a little unfair. ?Maybe some of them can teleport; sometimes they come out of no where.? She looked away, if only a demon or two would teleport here.
?I remember there had been demons when the power went out at the Production Building.? She tapped her chin idly. ?We didn?t fight them; maybe they came from around there.? If that was so, this trip was meaningless. ?Well, wherever they are, I just hope I get to kill a few before they?re all dead, it would be much more fun than those gross zombies.? It was his turn to chuckle; Eighteen swatted playfully at him and took a few quick steps so that she was ahead.
The sound of a pebble dropping resonated within her cranium. The android turned sharply toward the other side of the street. All that could be seen was a broken sign that was held limply attached to some forgotten store. The windows were broken and the cement walls cracking form top to bottom. She could see nothing; did demons have an invisible ability too? That would be amusing. She let her guard down and let out a disgusted sound. ?Tch, they know we?re stronger than them, so they?re hiding.? She nodded, not completely sure if that was the truth, but she felt like saying something arrogant.
The air was still, and stale, while the darkness crept in around them. Night had fallen a while ago, but she was just now taking note of it. The night sky was clouded, but pockets of space were opened here and there to let the stars shine through. She could see no moon, but perhaps that was due to the angle. She shrugged to herself and looked away from the sky. She poked into the alleyways, and the shadows. All that could be found were more dead bodies, and that putrid stench. Out of frustration she suddenly nailed her fist into the side of the building they were near. An indentation formed from the impact, and for a moment she just stood there. Bits of concrete fell and bounced against the ground, her fingers moved from their position, and she gave Raditzu a grin. ?I?m bored.?
A rumbling came and chips and dust began to rain downward. Eighteen felt herself being propelled away from where she had been standing. A loud crashing sound flooded around them, a swash of air fluttered against her body. She hit the ground and skidded, stopping against a trash can and muttering in shock. ?God damn,? Raditzu got up and dusted himself off. ?Did you have to do that?? She blinked and her gaze shifted toward the building they had been standing by. A large chunk of it had been knocked loose, she hadn?t seen it coming. Raditzu had pushed her out of the way; otherwise she would have been hurt. She blushed in embarrassment. He held out a hand and she took it, at least it was some excitement.

EVENT
It was Eighteen who heard him first.
A low, hungry growl. He was completely ignorant of the fact he was about to go toe to toe with the two single strongest fighters on the asteroid. But that didn't matter...they had blood. Edible skin. Dinner.
Raditzu had lept out of the way by the time Dexter the werewolf lept forward towards him, ready to take a chunk of shoulder. He landed gracefully on his four paws, turning back to try again.

The sharp snap of teeth rang through Rad?s ears as he lunged to one side. The crazy lycanthrope kicked up a trail of dust as it skid to a halt. It crouched low and let out a long growl. Rad turned to face this opponent slowly and took a few steps backwards. Eighteen quickly sidled up to her companion, flexing her muscles and preparing for the next strike. Dexter sized up the two targets. His wolf-like face scrunched up in a disconcertingly humane expression; possibly confusion. It sniffed at Eighteen, then at Raditzu, then screwed up its face again. The two warrior?s exchanged brief glances as this demi-beast sized them up. And, of course, as soon as they did, Dexter sprang into action.
Though the distance between the combatants was decent, the beast traversed it in no time at all. Raditzu and Eighteen both shot in opposite directions, leaving Dexter to come, once again, to a skidding halt. The werewolf took only a moment to consider his options before lunging after Raditzu. The bulky saiya-jin obviously seemed like a more filling meal. Dexter?s claws raked against the dirt road as it scampered after Rad. The saiya-jin shook his head after looking back to see his pursuer. Letting his legs tense, the saiyan took a small hop before launching himself through the air. He hit the top of a two story building and turned to face the stunned werewolf. Dexter obviously had not expected his prey to leap to the top of a building.
?You ok, babe?? Rad called from the top of the building. Eighteen had come to a stop when she realized she wasn?t being chased.
??Course.? She gave a small wave.
The long-haired saiyan looked down to the werewolf, and was quite shocked to see the beast scaling the side of the building with its claws. Dexter dug into the building, braced himself, the launched himself upwards. With a graceful slip at the top of his leap, the lycanthrope hit the roof of the building directly in front of Raditzu. Dexter?s claws raked against the front of Rad?s armor, producing a series of sparks. In the limited moonlight, the sparks illuminated the werewolf?s fangs with sharp flashes. An admittedly troubling sight, to say the least. Raditzu hopped backwards, avoiding a second strike, and leapt to a neighboring rooftop. Dexter was quick to follow. The man-beast possessed a remarkable kind of agility, and its hunger was not leaving room for playing around.
?This little guy sure isn?t messing around, is he?? Rad asked no one in particular as he danced away from another series of slashes.
In the darkness that had fallen over the asteroid, Rad hadn?t been able to get a good look at his surroundings ? a monster trying to rip his throat out didn?t help, either. As he stepped backwards, his foot caught a hole in the roofing. Already moving at a steady pace, the saiyan was unable to keep himself from tumbling backwards. Dexter was quick to take advantage of the situation. Before Raditzu had even hit the ground, the werewolf leapt, fangs bared. The long-haired warrior raised a forearm to protect himself, but it was unneeded. A bolt of light streaked across the rooftop, shattering against the beast with a loud crack. Dexter was hurled from the rooftop and the dull thud from below signaled a hopefully unpleasant landing.
?Need some help??
?Heh? guess so.? Rad looked over to see Eighteen approaching him. Even in the darkness he could see her mocking grin.
The androidess didn?t wait for Rad to pick himself off the ground, she was too eager for something to punch. She cleared the rooftop with a quick leap and hit the ground gracefully. Rad walked to the edge of the building and took a seat, letting his legs dangle off the edges. Though normally more prone to taking an active roll in a fight, the saiya-jin decided to just sit back and let his partner handle things. She was certainly more than capable of dealing with something like this.
As he thought that, Eighteen shot across the ground, quickly closing the distance between herself and Dexter. The wolf-man had risen shakily to its? paws, but had not been expecting the woman in front of him to take the offensive. The android?s first blow came in high. Her knuckles cracked against the creature?s elongated jaw. Stepping forward, Eighteen followed up with a stiff knee. As Dexter stumbled backwards from the blow he raked forward with his claws, catching no more than a bit of fabric. Shuffling her weight, Eighteen quickly measured the distance between herself and Dexter before snapping a leg outwards. A low wimper could be heard as the kick propelled the lycanthrope off its feet and sent him sprawling along the ground.
?Hey, babe!? Rad called to get her attention.
?Yeah?? She kept her eyes on the downed beast.
?I think you killed it.? Rad examined the prone body of the werewolf. From Rad?s perch, he couldn?t see any movement.
?That thing better not be dead! I was just getting started!?
Luckily, for 18, at least, the creature slowly began to stir. With shaky limbs, it climbed onto all fours and turned to face its attacker. It would be logical to assume that after having been rendered immobile for several moments from a single kick, most people would know when to back off. Dexter, however, didn?t seem to follow that particular school of thought. He scratched at the ground, in a style similar to that of a bull preparing to charge, and his eyes took on a glowing sheen. Snapping his teeth, Dexter lunged at Eighteen.

Misty vapor furled upward from its nostrils, while it snarled and let gleaming teeth shine with deadly intent. Never had she fought such a foe, one who had become part canine. She had battled a series of wolves, but not werewolves. If it bit her, would she too become one? She didn?t want to find that out. She dodged out of the way while the crazy creature took off toward Raditzu. It obviously felt that the Saiya-Jin was worth the effort. She stood back, her fists clenched and her muscles tense. They took to the rooftop, and of course he felt the need to ask if she was ok. With a scoff response she gave a wave, why wouldn?t she be ok? She?d faced worse things. Yet, it was not fair for her companion to have all the fun, whether the wolf man wanted her for supper or not. She started toward the building, just as they took to another roof. She saw him falling, the monster ready to take advantage of it, but she would have none of that. Using her energy she summoned a flash of ki to strike into the werewolf from where she stood.
?Need some help?? She asked and gave a cocky grin. She easily hopped the distance between the buildings and walked toward the fallen warrior. She passed him and peered over the rooftop, as if looking into a shop window. Before Raditzu could say anything more she was leaping off the roof and landing gracefully before their foe. The furry fighter rose to its hulking stature, giving her a look she could not read. It shook, which she took as a good sign. Her calves tensed and she shot off like a bullet. ?That?s right, you fuck, time for some real fun.? Her fist flew in with intense speed and cracked against the creatures distorted face. A crack rang out but she ignored it. Eighteen closed the distance between them and shot her knee upward into his abdomen. He fought to harm her, his claws catching the fabric of her shirt in an annoying manner, leaving tender flesh to be revealed. ?You bastard, this is my only shirt!? She shot inward and made a quick turn while kicking which drove the force of the hit hard into him. The creature felt his feet leaving the ground, and a pathetic whimper escaped his deathtrap of a mouth. His body skidded and tumbled before coming to a rest like a heap of dead weight.
?Hey, babe!? It was Raditzu. She had been gripping one fist with her other hand, getting ready to deal more torment upon the Lycanthrope. What did he want?
?Yeah?? She did not shift her gaze, just in case.
?I think you killed it.? What!? The android did a double take, but did not look away. Surely this beast was not so weak; she hadn?t done that much to it!
?That thing better not be dead! I was just getting started!? She spat and glared at the still heap of fur. She strained to see movement, to see anything. ?Move you bastard.? She gritted here teeth, and like some wonderful miracle, the Lycanthrope moved. ?Hah!? She shouted and pointed. Her opponent scratched the ground like some bull, ready to charge, not ready to give up. That was fine, the longer it fought the more fun for her. She looked toward Raditzu with a grin, but perhaps that was a mistake. She felt like a train had hit her. Her body flew through cement, glass, and metal. The furry mass of muscle and teeth propelled her light body through it all, while she had been looking away. What a prick. She hit a light pole and the werewolf bounced away, skidding with claws against the ground and ready to charge upon his meal. Eighteen slumped, purely shocked. ?So you can fight, go figure.? She looked toward the hole they had made through the many buildings; Raditzu was making his way through the destruction. ?Oh shit.? She looked back, making the same mistake twice, but the monster was not there.
She got to her feet, fists raised and eyes wide. Where was he? The darkness was his friend, while to her it was a thick blanket. Raditzu had finally gotten through the last hole, she shot her gaze toward him, but his response was a shout as he pointed behind her. Eighteen cursed and was about to turn, too late. A blinding pain flooded through her and she cried out. Razor sharp claws shredded her flesh, revealing her meaty backside and the few circuits she possessed there. ?Shit?? She tried to turn, to hurt the wolf man, but he seemed to be much more skilled than before. Was he learning? Had he just been playing with them? His paw like hand shot against her face, too fast for her to dodge, leaving a nasty cut against her right cheek, just missing her eyes. She cried out again and hit the ground, blood soiling her clothing and staining the street. This was a death town, were the demons just as bad as this? She felt blood trail down her face and her neck, ?You fucking shit.? It stood above her, like some psychopath, taking in its shaky breathing, but he stared perplexed. ?I?m not worth eating, unless you like a daily dose of metal.? He probably didn?t understand. She wasn?t human, not completely. In the creatures moment of distraction Raditzu turned the tables and took out the hulking tyrant with a mighty punch to his face.
?You had too much fun.? He did not look away, this werewolf was tricky. Eighteen gave a grin, blood having slipped into her mouth making her look like some cannibal.
?Just shut up and kill him, don?t fall this time.? That was just like them, to make light of the situation. She began to shakily crawl away, he could handle himself. The wolf man knew she was hurt, for now, he tried to get to her but her long haired savior nailed him again in the face. He wagged a finger, as if the Lycanthrope were a naughty child. The android smiled and finally found herself bumping against the nearest building. She faced the fight, while tenderly touching the cut on her face. She winced. How cruel, and her back hurt like a bitch. She rested against the building, only her shoulder touched, the long flesh wounds would hurt if pressure was put upon them. It was a pity she had no way of healing herself, at least she was good at enduring. Eighteen nodded to herself, she?d be fine with a little rest. She watched as the Saiya-Jin warrior fought against the creature, it was his turn away; she had been a little too cocky.
It was true, the monster seemed a lot more skilled than before. This was no game, this was life and death. His clawed hands shot in with accurate strokes, trying hard to destroy the armor that protected Raditzu?s chest, or to damage any flesh that was in view. They were not easy opponents either, he would see that. The android had been careless, and now she paid for it, but now they knew what they were up against. Her companion found himself being tossed aside, he skidding along the ground, but got to his feet without hesitating.
?You?re holding back.? She shouted. She could not help but tightened her fists and struggle to her feet. Blood dripped and formed little puddles around her feet, but she stubbornly ignored it. ?I know you?re stronger than that.? She added, wiping a line of blood that teased her upper lip.
?You did too,? he retorted and fended off a deadly strike to his neck. It was true, she had held back, she could have rendered this foe into a sniveling wimp but she had not. So why was he holding back? He was more powerful than she; Eighteen recalled the events that had transpired before this game had started. The way his power had spiked so high, and he had tried to kill Cell then and there. Where was that power now? They could use it.
She felt her head throb painfully, her hand quickly touched upon the wall for support. She wanted to help him, but she would only get in the way. Her other hand rubbed her brow; her eyes closed tightly, blood seeped painfully down her cheek once more. She had already screwed up. The pain was hot against her back and face, but it hurt deep inside, like a bubbling poison. She wanted to help, she wanted to do something. Bloodied fingers clasped together, her cold eyes snapped open to take in the fight that was before her. He was capable of easily killing the creature off, but she still felt the need to do something, anything.
?Not like this?? She sighed heavily and felt a great weight upon her shoulders. Her body slumped against the wall, and although it pained her back, she did not move.

Playing around was all fine and dandy, in the long-haired saiyan's book, but getting careless was never a good idea. Both he and Eighteen had made very rookie mistakes while fending off this mangy mongrel. Seeing Eighteen wounded not only once, but twice, was enough to get Rad moving. This beast was very clearly looking for a leathal blow, and just messing around would have to be put on hold. Rad shifted his weight as he shot a glance toward Eighteen. The android had taken a seat against one of the buildings and seemed to be tending to her wounds. The saiya-jin would have expressed his concern over his companion's condition, but the werewolf wasn't about to give him the time. It shot across the ground, all four paws pumping, and dove straight towards Rad.
A loud clang filled the air as Rad intercepted the attack with the katchin bracer that adorned his right arm. The metal over his left arm slid along his hand and formed into pointed claws. With his makeshift weapon at the ready, Rad lashed out while Dexter struggled to knaw at the metal than impeded his path. Blood splattered across the dirt road as Raditzu's claws dug into his opponent's flesh. The lycanthrope immediately backed away with a yelp of surprise. It licked at its own wounds, then resssessed its opponent. The metal along Raditzu's right arm had changed to match that of his left. The two clawed hands glinted in the moonlight, an obvious warning sign to Dexter. Rad decided to press the offensive and leapt toward to Dexter. His katchin claws flashed in rapid succession, each blow spilling another splatter of blood across the ground.
Though the man-beast tried to retaliate, it did not take long for the powerful saiyan warrior to overwhelm the outclassed monster. With a mighty, lunging thrust, Rad dropped Dexter to the ground and took in a deep breath. The creature lay, prone, in a bloody pile. Rad bore several lacerations himself, especially where his armor had broken away to expose his left shoulder and a small section of his upper torso. Having previously underestimated this beast's resiliency, Rad waited several moments before turning his attention away. There seemed to be no motion, no stirring of the demi-beast's form. With that seemingly taken care of, the long-haired warrior quickly moved towards Eighteen. The female pulled herself into a standing position and steadied herself as Raditzu approached.
"Are you ok?" Rad looked her over with concern.
"Yeah, I'll be fine. These look a lot worse than they are." Eighteen smiled at her lover.
"Well... ok." The slash across her right cheek was what worried him the most. It was bleeding as badly as most face wounds do, and it was dangerously close to her eye. Rad was about to offer up his shirt for a makeshit bandage, but forgot he didn't have one.
"What about you?" She nodded towards the various cuts that were mostly spread across his arms.
"Ah... these are nothing. Just a few lucky shots."
"Looks like more than a fe--"
A sharp, high pitched howl shattered the relative silence of the moonlight town. Raditzu and Eighteen snapped their heads in the direction of the noise, shocked to see Dexter standing on two legs, neck craned back, and head raised to the sky. Before either could guess as to what was going on, another howl sounded through the darkness. Followed by another... and another... and one more. Dexter snapped its mouth shut and shot a glare at Raditzu and Eighteen. The gashes and lacerations that had riddled his body were now no where to be seen. Rad swore under his breath for not having simply finished the deed and blwoing the stupid creature to kingdom-come.
Within moments, three more wolf-man creatures had appeared on scene. Dexter had apparently been calling for back-up. At the sight of their prey, their tongues lolled out of their mouthes and saliva dripped hungrily to the ground. Lunging forward in unison, the quarter of ravenous shapeshifters launched their attack. Both Rad and Eighteen took ducked away from the snapping jaws and slashing claws. Following Eighteen's lead, Raditzu leapt to the rooftops after her. The dirt roads of the town were suddenly very cramped with four werewolves lunging for their necks. The two warriors bound across town, leaping from roof-top to roof-top. Behind them, two of the lycanthropic pack pursued them, while the other two took to chasing from the ground level. As the duo that would be dinner progressed through the city, the buildings began to thin out and the open areas began to widen. Tents and stands of various sizes and shapes began to dot the otherwise barren expanses of trodden terrain.
"This look good to you?" Rad looked over to Eighteen as the two of them hit the ground between several small vendor stands.
"As long as I get to crack some skulls." Eighteen wiped away a bit of blood from her cheek. The bleeding had mostly stopped.
The werewolves giving chase came to a slow halt when they saw their prey had stopped running. The four quickly fell into circling the two warriors at even intervals. Just as they beagn to tighten their circle, both Eighteen and Raditzu became enveloped in an aura of flickering crimson flames. With their would-be attackers temporarily caught off-guard, the warriors launched an offensive. Rad threw himself shoulder first into the body of the closest werewolf. The beast was tossed asunder by the bulky blow and sent tumbling across the ground. While it was recovering, Raditzu moved on his next target with kaioken-enhanced speed. A series of timed blows landed a second werewolf on the ground and left Raditzu with only a bit of saliva splattered across his fist. With half the werewolf pack temporarily stunned, Rad glanced over to Eighteen, and was happy to see that she was doing just as well. Had they gotten serious about the fight to begin with, this wouldn't have been too much trouble. The fact that their strength was now doubled merely chinched things.
"I think I've just about had my fill of you guys." Rad hopped to one side, letting a werewolf fly by him.
A second attacker came around to where Rad's back should have been, but it was easy to see through such rudimentary tactics. The saiya-jin turned to meet the attacker, a ball of ki already formed in his hand. The lycanthrope didn't know what hit it as the long-haired warrior stuffed the blast down its gaping maw. In an explosion of blood and gore, the werewolf was rendered, very definitely, lifeless. The other beast that had attacked Raditzu stopped in its tracks when it saw what had been done to its partner. It probably would have fled for its life had tendrils of katchin metal not bound its feet. Though it struggled valiantly, its fight was in vein. It soon lay upon the ground in the motionless slumber of death. Eighteen sidled up to her saiyan companion and each admired the other's handiwork. Where Rad had chosen to go for a cleaner decapitation, Eighteen had gone with the time-tested, stress-relieving, "hulk smash" method.
"Have fun?" Rad wrapped an arm around Eighteen's shoulder.
"It was a blast."

END OF ROUND
Raditzu's hand laid around his love's hips as they walked side by side, two warriors away from a battlefield of death. It seemed like it was over, and the search could continue. However, both of their ears twitched. Something was moving.
The two stepped back as they turned around. A body rose from the piles of werewolves, a single human figure. It wore glasses on top of it's disfigured face. It didn't take a genious to realize it had previously been one of the werewolves that had just been beaten down to near death.
He walked calmly towards the duo. "Let me," Raditzu told his robotic partner, stepping forward as well. "Want some more, doggy?"
The man was now far from a werewolf, in fact the exact opposite. He was the definition of dorky human, though considering the massive amount of bruises and blood on his body, it was hard to tell. His facial expressions weren't obvious, however, a serious look clouding any thoughts. Rad just grinned, cracking his knuckles.
Rad swung his fist faster then you could measure by any current mathmatical standards. When it struck a sharp solid object, he backed up almost as fast as his fist was traveled, a howl emmiting from his mouth. "Agh! Shit!"
Eighteen moved forward quickly. "Rad?!" She looked up at the nerdy human. Between his sharp wolf-like fangs laid one simple saiyan finger.
"He bit me!" Rad howled, holding his four-fingered hand. "What the fuck!? The little guy fucking hit me!"
"After that whole fight," The human spoke. His voice was very high, almost like a female's. "That was all I had to do. How simple." His tone was amazing, like all of the damage he took as a werewolf were completely faded. He didn't even sound hurt. "Looks like you underestimated me."
Eighteen didn't even let out a scream before she jumped forwrad in rage. Raditzu tried to put a hand out, but she swung her smaller punch towards Dexter anyway. He took it on the side of his ribs, but pinned her arm before she could reel back. Though her power was much more then his, he still managed to leap forward, into her body, and plow his teeth into the tender flesh on her neck.
"NO!" Raditzu's pained face turned to shock. He flew his hands upwards, and slammed his palms together. The blast tore Dexter's head cleared off. Even though he had managed to bite both fighters, his victory was short lived. It was Dexter who underestimated Raditzu.
Rad fell to his knees after Eighteen dropped. He held the place where his finger used to be, and waited for the new emotions to sweep him.
