You will be judged on your answer in the following:
1) First and foremost, why should you be selected to play?
First and foremost, I've been around since 2001, I've contributed to the main site and to the rpg. I've lead successful Player Run Sagas, helped lead one of the best Alliance Quests ever, and am currently leading an RPG that may very well become the brother site of Chubbs, perhaps just as good one day. I've contributed a good amount of money in the upkeep of the site.
2) What qualities do you possess that will make you the Idol?
Military training has proved great experience in any kind of leadership, I'm sure Yamu would agree with this.
I am growing as one of the best all around sig makers and my all around attitude towards the rpg and certain staff members have changed drastically.
I love helping people out, just ask anyone on FoF, I make sure that they are updated as much as possible and even give them the benefit of the doubt in certain areas, I'm a firm beleive in everyone is right unless proven wrong.
I'm online for a good portion of the day and roleplay actively.
3) Tell me any previous experience you have with running an RPG. Included should be the name of the RPG, the genre, and how long it lasted.
Name: Friend or Foe RPG
Date of creation: October 30, 2005 - current.
Genre: Anime, Video game, movies, all in all, anything entertainment wise.
How long it's lasted: Still going strong. We just upgraded to Burning Boards, not the BB Lite, I actually spent $30 on the newest version...my guys deserved it.
4) Finally, you need to write a short essay/description (200+ words) of what you feel being a staff member of Chubbs is all about. What do you think is nessecary, what do you think has to be done. Be detailed, as much as you can. Don't kiss our asses, we arn't looking for compliments.
A good staff member will, first and foremost, keep all the members safe and as happy as possible. They should possess leadership abilities, be able to make decision on their own, and have experience in some sort of leadership role. Although demanding respect is usually pulled from earning leadership, it?s not always best to strive for it, a good staff member should be willing to work as hard as they can to earn the respect, not expect it.
The like ability factor is always a good idea, but un-necessary and it even some times creates a controversial environment, thus the staff member should lean more towards the people rather than a person, in other words, stay bias. Everyone here has earned the same respect, they all joined and started off as a newbie and thus they should treat everyone how they wished to be treated when they were new.
Activity is a must when a member becomes staff. To be as active as possible means that others will not have to wait on you for updates or answers to questions that very well may bog down their ability to further enhance or advance their story lines. Trying to be on for a few hours every day, every day is a good key to success. Keeping active through roleplaying is also a good idea, like the old saying goes, ?Lead by example?.
Staff members should NOT be afraid to speak their minds to their superiors, to hide in their shadows due to fear of punishment makes that member weak, unless it?s an untactful attempt or flame. Bringing concerns and/or questions that need to be dealt with in a manor that the staff member is unable to do should be brought immediately to a superior for quick and helpful service to those that need it.
