Inherant in his genetics as a Utopian, this makes any damage inflicted on him null, returning onto the foe and replenishing twice what the attacker spent to attack him. Any attempts at retaliation or any form of attack will knock Doma unconscious before even making contact, sending all of his energy into the person he tried to attack.

Tying a small portion of his own soul into his Ki, Doma latches it onto his foe's energy signature, making it to where if either of them is killed in combat, they both will die. This does not partain to any damage taken, only if a death is finalized. Only one target can be Bonded at a time, yet it remains unbroken until the Bonded have both died, or any and all negative feelings in the souls of both have been reconciled.

If assaulted by an energy attack, Doma can channel it through his body and send it into the earth, grounding it with his feet, which are charged with negative ki. This is the only response available to him, for the Utopians are forbidden to use their spiritual energy for destruction.

"Doma, Doma come over here. Doma, what do you see?" Daigosama asked him. He looked out quietly over the green landscape. He saw the big river where the two went to go catch fish. He saw the trees where Daigosama taught him how to pick fruit and nuts. He saw the wooden stumps where Daigosama would teach him footwork and stance training. This was his life till now. His present and his past.
"I see it." He said. Then his stomach rumbled. "Daigosama, I'm hungry. Let's go eat dinner."
Daigosama laughed. "Doma, we just ate. How are you hungry again?"
"I don't know. I just am."
"You are always hungry, Doma." Daigosama patted him on the head..
"After we eat, can you show me the Counterstroke Stance again?" He asked his Sensei with a grin.
"Doma, one must rest too. Rest is a part of training. Tranquility is precious. Peace is precious."
He wasn't listening. He was already heading back to the quaint little hut that he had grown up. He wanted to have some more fish and those yummy mushrooms that they had picked together.
His name was Doma Garou. Garou is his family name and Doma was his birthname, meaning 'finder of the unseen balance'. Whenever anyone mentioned the 'Balance', Daigosama would start talking about him about all sorts of cosmos and the Tao. Nowadays, he paid little attention to her inquisitions. They may never understand his walk of life.
Daigosama was a powerful healer, as well as a phenomenal fighter in his own right. Despite being centuries older than most of the other elves of Utopia, he had actually ventured beyond their hallowed sanctuary into the 'real world', where the mortals dwelled. Despite hearing stories about it, Doma had never been able to see those who dwelled on the Outside. He heard stories of a mysterious species known as 'humans', who fought amongst themselves and could never get along. This kind of concept was alien to Doma, since his people had long learned how to get along and coexist, despite having different belief systems.
Doma himself was trained in the ways of The Complete Balance. He was taught the ancient martial art of Kai Hunujutsu. It was a discipline that taught to bind the wills of people together, rather than to harm others. The general principle was, for those who ever travelled to the 'Real World', they would be able to influence those they met by binding their lives to their foes, making it to where their lives depended on one another. Despite the obvious differences between the Utopians and the legendary 'Humans', Doma was certain he could make a difference in this foreign land.
"Doigosama. Why do the humans fight amongst themselves?" he asked his Sensei curiously. A tear welled in his eye, a sign of his obvious sensitivity. "Don't they realize that all they do is ruin their own chances at a peace like our own?"
Daigosama only sighed, bringing the young Utopian into his arms and patting his head tenderly.
"Doma, they believe in 'might is right'. They find meaning in life by proving to one another how superior they feel they are to each other. Rather than live alongside each other and each work selflessly for their brethren, much like we do, they would rather try and surpass their peers." the elder Utopian gave another sigh. "You will learn this when you travel there yourself one day. The reason they lost their immortality is because of the hate that flows through them. Back when all of the races on Earth were filled with bliss and happiness and the general good will for one another, all were immortal. Historians speak of a time when the humans chose to defile our way of life in pursuit of knowledge and 'something more', as they called it. You can see what came of it."
Doma just shook his head and pulled slowly away from his sensei. Wiping the tears from his eyes, he sighed himself, standing up.
"I honestly think they can be saved, Daigosama. I would at least like to try."
The elder was about to chastise the youth for his naivety, but the burning fire of willpower and determination shone in the youth so he simply nodded and stood himself.
"You are of age now, Doma. I think it is time you saw the 'Real World' for yourself. When you return to us, if your heart has not been corrupted, tell us of what you have seen there and if you were able to accomplish your goals."
and with that, his Sensei was gone. Packing up his things from the hut he called home, he began planning for his trip to the 'Real World'.
Little did he know that it was a trip he wouldn't soon forget.
