[STATS]
APPEARANCE:
Bardock has a fairly muscular build, although not to the point of ridiculousness. Facially, his left cheek is slashed with a permanent cross-scar, an emblem of a battle long past.
He always wears a bandana around his forehead that is stained crimson with blood: that of fallen comrades, those felled by his hand, and his own. It is symbolic to his respect of the fight. Bardock normally also sports his customized, red-screened scouter over his right eye, which has been technologically merged with his battle visor. When he needs to use the battle visor, he simply activates it via voice command or manually, and a digital screen will display over his eyes.
His torso is covered by black customized armor coated with refined ore, a green crystal of the material embedded in the center of the breastplate—underneath he wears a sleeveless black tunic that has been stitched together with high density fabric, making it incredibly heavy. His upper right bicep is wrapped in white strips of cloth, while he wears leather gauntlets that cover most of his forearm. The digits are fingerless, reaching only to the first joint, and the knuckles are mounted with iron studs. He wears a belt of leather sagging to one side of his waist, with pouches to store capsules and other small items in. His pants are loose-fitting dark navy blue, and his knees, shins, and ankles are covered by the rest of Bardock’s armor. He also has on leather boots, the toes and edges framed with heavy steel.
PERSONALITY:
Bardock is your standard tough-guy-asshole, always smirking and making sarcastic comments, although he does have restraint towards women. He’s not too bright, but he most assuredly isn’t stupid. His only philosophy on life, besides the way of the fist, comes from his strong saiyan roots: everything is earned; nothing is given.
Bardock doesn’t easily trust and has a hard time getting along with people (due to his limited social skills), especially humans, for whom he has a distinct prejudice against as being inferior species. He’s a terrible father and family man. When put in a situation with people he dislikes, he gets what he needs and gets out. He has an acute sense of smell, which he can use to correctly identify persons, racial traits, and emotions. Although Bar makes an effort to be a “good guy” now and then, it usually backfires and he just ends up getting pissed off. His one true passion in life is fighting, and ultimately it’s how he communicates, as the most powerful words of expressing himself are usually swears and curses. He doesn’t believe in revenge or unnecessary torture, of the mind that both bring impurity to the battlefield. However, Bardock has no compunctions about causing pain. The saiyan kills both for the thrill and, when necessary, indiscriminately to reach a goal.
BIOGRAPHY:
Bardock is a native of Vegeta-sei, and enlisted in the army at a young age. Starting out as a low-level soldier, Unit 0127, he eventually ascended to the rank of squad leader of the Roughnecks, a group of combat specialists. Bardock deliberately represses any memory of his former life, so successfully in fact that he can’t remember much of what happened. Chronologically, he’s an old man, but biologically, he has the body of a twenty-something-year-old.
The farthest back he cares to recall is of the death tournament, Dante’s Abyss. His survival was mostly due to the fact that he never encountered many others. Here, he met Selipa, a fellow saiyan, and the two fought. Raditzu and Android 18 interrupted their battle, and he and Selipa vowed to continue someday. Bardock attempted to fight Android 18, but was transported to the main arena for an audience showdown. In the match, he reluctantly killed his great granddaughter Pan. He reconnected with Eighteen and Raditzu, and shortly after, the remaining contestants of Dante’s Abyss were captured.
A war was brewing, and Tory, the leader of a resistance, busted them out of prison. The saiya-jin refused to take part, stating that there was nothing in it for him. He went back home to train and discover a new way of life. Eventually, he came upon a man named Reeve, who wanted to recruit Bardock for his organization, the Syndicate. Bardock agreed, and took on a few missions.
During the middle of a convoy transport, he was teleported to a new competition—Friend or Foe II, run by the devious Brim and his son Kao. The roughneck managed to cultivate old relationships and gain new ones, primarily Yamu, Bebi, and Burter Junior. Although Bardock struggled through the twisted reality show and asteroid war, he eventually met his demise while fighting Kao at the hands of Cell, who self-destructed in sacrifice for the good of all. Fortunately, he did not die, and returned safely to Vegeta-sei to pick up where he left off.
Not too long after, the subsequent Dante’s Abyss followed. Bardock eagerly signed on board. He met different people during pre-show, and then allied with Raditzu and Eighteen, as well as Bra, who initially thought he was Kakarotto. They eventually stumbled upon Hasky, who was looking for Gohan. The alliance found him, Yamu, and Selipa, encountering members of Civil Unrest, losing Gohan and whittling down the numbers of the enemy party. Yamu fell to a danger zone, and after a short time, Bardock killed Hasky, deeming her to be useless and weak. Bra and Selipa were outraged, both physically threatening the roughneck. Bar and Sel “stepped outside” and engaged in a battle of pride to the death, in which the male ascended to Super Saiyan for the first time. Bardock killed Selipa and ended their rematch as the victor. As soon as he rejoined the others, a no-holds-barred fight erupted amongst the remaining allies. Android Eighteen wounded Bar with her shotgun, but he blasted her away with his when she let her guard down. Raditzu sliced Bra in half, leaving only father and son. The two squared off, and while Bardock managed to seriously wound the longhaired fighter, he got his head blasted.
After his body was re-grown and “accidentally” teleported to Earth, Bardock ran into Android 18 and then the two were mysteriously teleported to Namek. It turns out that Kakarotto was their ride, and the pair followed in pursuit, meeting up with Raditzu and Burter Junior. Bra stormed the scene, fists flying, followed by Violet, whom Bardock instantly recognized from Dante’s Abyss and took a disliking to. The motley crew went to Guru’s and proceeded to train for Body Split.
After nearly completing training, a message was sent via scouter about recruitment for a war on Vegeta-sei between saiyans and changelings. Bardock immediately transported himself there, without obtaining Body Split, and after critical decision allied with the Cold Empire, immediately asserting himself into a position of rank: Captain. He was barely into battle before he encountered Super Buu, the one who had killed Gohan in Dante’s Abyss. The two engaged in a battle of epic proportions, and Bardock changed into an Oozaru when a projection of a full moon bathed the battlefield. Super Buu ascended to Spiritken, putting a stop to it and beating Bardock around. Finding his trigger, the Empire captain transformed into a Super Saiyan once more, evening the playing field. Even though he was stronger, Super Buu fought back with his Metal Binding ability to eventually overcome the more powerful fighter. The majin originally intended to be merciful and let his opponent live, but Bardock refused this, insisting he be finished off. At this request, the saiyan was swiftly ended, sent to the Next Dimension.
Much to his surprise, he was granted passage to train with King Kai, a great master and renowned trainer. Bardock traveled the length of Snakeway and was very reluctant to begin training, but was eventually coaxed into it. His joke was horrible, and he found the kai’s methods to be ridiculous, but the short stay convinced him to begin anew. He donned a disguise and assumed a new alias, “Shadow” in order to start over as another chance.
Shortly afterwards, he was invited to command in Dante’s Abyss: Conquest, a new war game. However, Bardock did not find the inspiration he needed, and therefore did not participate. Realizing the stupidity of an alter ego, he tried to resume training for Kaio Ken. It was interrupted by yet another Dante’s Abyss.
This time, Bardock decided to pursue a solo course, something that proved to be a difficult undertaking. He scored an easy kill, Zangya, at the end of very first day, but was wounded in the process. His second day proved to be a random encounter with luck, as he killed Android 18 for the second tournament in a row and acquired her GPS. The next several days proved to be a dry spell in the way of killing, and he temporarily allied with Reijin and a few others, engaging in an enormous battle that gave him more injuries. On the eve of the sixth day, he readied himself for the final confrontation after killing his own son, Kakarot, and a young namek named Cargo. Charging into the climactic battle, Bardock dispatched a distracted Reijin, but found himself on the losing end of his next fight. In a last ditch effort, the saiya-jin threw his weapon—a teddy bear bomb—and killed the automaton as well as grievously wounding himself. Despite that, he dispatched Bra. Then, he got his other son, Raditzu full-circle in the very same method Bardock died of in the previous tournament: death by ki shotgun. It came down to him and Yamu in the end, someone he relatively despised. Just as it looked like Yamu was about to win, Bardock transcended the first level of Super Saiyan to become Super Saiyan 2, ultimately taking the human down and becoming the winner of Dante’s Abyss.
Although at the height of motivation during the tournament, it eventually dissipated, and he lacked the luster to finish his training on King Kai’s. Instead, the deity arranged his revival to the living world to send him to Kajin Rala, where a mysterious guide would lead him to the tutelage of the Dezmond sisters, of which he knew from Friend or Foe II. The “guide” turned out to be none other than Violet, someone he rather disliked. Nonetheless, he put her in neutral territory in his mind and the two of them began their journey towards achieving greater powers. He bought a ship under suspicious circumstances, named it the “Iron Knuckle,” and departed for the new planet.

[ATTACKS]
==========
01. Gunslinger
Inspired by his proficiency with a firearm, Bardock adapted the basic principles into a technique. This attack comes in one of two forms: pistol, or shotgun. For “pistol,” Bardock simply calls out ‘pistol’ and forms a hand in the shape of a gun, and runs energy to the tip of his index finger, ‘firing’ it by curling his thumb like a trigger and expelling a small bullet of energy. In this form, the attack is faster and can be used quickly and repeatedly, but doesn’t pack as much punch. For “shotgun,” he calls out ‘shotgun’ and forms a hand into a fist, and wraps the other hand around his wrist. The second hand pumps the arm as if it was the actual firearm, and a large, powerful shell of ki is fired from the fist. The arm must be pumped after every shell in order to “reload.” In this form, the attack is much stronger, but cannot be used in rapid succession, as it takes time for the large amount of energy required to be gathered.
02. Detonator
Bardock forms a sphere of energy and throws it into the air, leaving his hand open after releasing. Once Bar closes the hand from which it was fired into a fist, the energy sphere will stop in its tracks, becoming a bomb. At any time after the ball has stopped, when the fighter snaps his fingers, it will explode like a remote mine. Multiple ki bombs can be used, although Bardock must manage each attack in the order of succession, and also the hand from which they were fired. For example, if three bombs were launched from his left hand, he would have to stop each one individually by closing his left hand three times, and they would explode one by one each time he snapped his fingers. If he launched one from his left hand and one from his right hand, the left hand would control one and the right hand would control the other. It can become very tricky the more he uses at once, so it is best used as a singular surprise attack. The two downsides are that he cannot control the bombs once they leave his hand, so he must use careful speed and aim, and they will also explode upon touching anything, rendering the delayed detonation effect useless.

Ki Sense (1)
Gained on Earth, this ability was refined and honed even in its basic form. Bardock is able to sense movement, approximate strength, and approximate location with it. He mostly uses this technique in battle to aid in defense and evasion, as he has machines that transcend its capabilities in most other aspects.
Oozaru (trained)
On Vegeta-sei, during a period of confusion, Bardock transformed into the infamous ape form…a manifestation of his inner conflict. His rage and resentment towards everything was exponentially amplified. Eventually, he learned to control it, putting his demons to rest once more. In Friend or Foe II, Bardock resorted to this form once more to vent his fury, going berserk and consequently transforming his son, Raditzu, as well. In Prophecy’s Child III, a projection of a full moon gave Bardock the opportunity to transform and gain a temporary upper hand in his battle with Super Buu.
Super Saiya-jin
During Dante’s Abyss (2006), Bardock caused massive unrest within his alliance, earning not only their distrust but also severe dislike. He ended up fighting Selipa in a death match, accusing her of being a disgrace to her heritage. She responded with anger, transforming forbiddingly into a Super Saiyan. Bardock was enraged that she of all saiya-jin had obtained the golden glory, while he could not, and brutally attacked. She was superior, and he couldn’t match up. Bar eventually conceded his respect, and his building emotion pushed him beyond his limitations, allowing him to finally ascend to a Super Saiyan. The warrior ended her, silently mourning the loss of another of their race. The collar gave him temporary control of this ability, but since the removal of the device, Bardock no longer retains said control, and it sends him into a berserk rage every time he transforms.
Super Saiya-jin 2
During Dante’s Abyss (2007), Bardock fought, battled, and worked his way through the tournament, collecting an array of weapons and a solid kill count until he entered the finale. Plowing right through the other remaining competitors and dispatching Reijin, he didn’t find difficulty until a deranged Android Seventeen forced his trump card: a teddy bear bomb. Terribly wounded, Bardock blasted through Bra, caught Raditzu with his guard down, and finally squared off against Yamu. Just as it appeared that the human had the upper hand, Bardock’s determination reached a climax. Staring down the barrel of a shotgun, Bardock ascended to a second tiered Super Saiyan, avoided what would have been a fatal shot, and knocked Yamu to the ground. In a rare moment of conquest, Bardock killed Yamu with a ki shotgun, and pushed through all obstacles to successfully achieve one of his goals in a long time.
Instant Transmission
Following his victory in the Dante’s Abyss tournament, King Kai bestowed upon him the gift of Instant Transmission, hoping it would aid his travels to a path of enlightenment.

KILLS:
01. Pan – incineration
Dante’s Abyss (2005) – while fighting Android Eighteen, Bardock was suddenly teleported to the main arena for a coliseum bout. His opponent: Great granddaughter Pan, who was, at the time, blind. After a heartfelt battle, Bardock dealt the fatal blow, penetrating her chest and letting her bleed to death.
02. Android 16 – incineration (faux)
Dante’s Abyss (2006) – technically not his kill, as Bra delivered the “finishing torch” with her flamethrower, but he held the android in place, allowing an opening. It was a faux kill, as his body was regenerated after elimination.
03. Hasky – ballistic trauma (faux)
Dante’s Abyss (2006) – Bardock openly declared his intentions before confrontation. He coldly came face to face with her, and she didn’t fight back. Leveling his ki shotgun, he blew her away with a single blast. It was a faux kill, as her body was regenerated after elimination.
04. Selipa – head trauma (faux)
Dante’s Abyss (2006) – Selipa challenged Bardock to a fight, one-on-one. They matched blow for blow until Selipa transformed into a Super Saiyan, which Bar could not keep up with. That is, until he himself transformed for the first time. Inflicting mortal damage with her own ki pistol, the newly ascended Super Saiyan blasted a hole into her skull, causing a slow but sure death. It was a faux kill, as her body was regenerated after elimination.
05. Android Eighteen – ballistic trauma (faux)
Dante’s Abyss (2006) – seemingly out of boredom, Raditzu initiated all-out war between the four remaining alliance members. Bardock was paired up with Eighteen…ki shotgun facing off against ki shotgun, western style. She managed to blow a hole in his torso, but when she let her guard down thinking he was dead, Bardock got her from behind. It was a faux kill, as her body was regenerated after elimination.
06. Zangya – ballistic trauma (faux)
Dante’s Abyss (2007) – ironically in a cemetery, Bardock encountered Zangya and Garlic Junior. After a bloody exchange that seemingly saw Bardock down, the goblin noticed the saiyan rising up again and fled. Zangya attempted to use her pistol to take the saiyan out, but Bardock easily back-flip kicked the pistol away, caught it, and shot her through the head. It was a faux kill, as her body was regenerated after elimination.
07. Android Eighteen – ballistic trauma (faux)
Dante’s Abyss (2007) – their third encounter in three consecutive tournaments, Bardock caught her off guard and fired two pistol shots, disabling her indefinitely. After a brief verbal exchange from the confused and tearful android, the saiyan fired a third shot into her temple. It was a faux kill, as her body was regenerated after elimination.
08. Kakarot – incineration (faux)
Dante’s Abyss (2007) – after hunting down a rogue dot on his GPS, Bardock encountered his youngest son, who was also, ironically, blind. After a spirited Kakarot put up a valiant fight, Bardock managed to get a hold of his weapon, which turned out to be a flamethrower. After a moment of self-disgust, he pulled the trigger and burned his son’s head clean off. It was a faux kill, as his body was regenerated after elimination.
09. Cargo – ballistic trauma (faux)
Dante’s Abyss (2007) – in the twilight of the tournament, Bardock closed in on Cargo and a delusional Android Seventeen. The saiyan incapacitated the little namek in the back with a single shot, but the android, psychotically imagining Bardock was someone else, ferociously attacked. Bardock kept Seventeen at bay, wounding him several times, until Cargo injured the saiyan in a last ditch effort. With a final shot, Bardock blew the kid’s head wide open. It was a faux kill, as his body was regenerated after elimination.
10. Reijin – ballistic trauma (faux)
Dante’s Abyss (2007) – during the finale, Reijin was embroiled in a battle, trying to keep himself and his comrades alive amidst the chaos. Bardock fired two shots from the ki pistol that had taken so many lives already, hitting Reijin in the back and felling the proud saiyan with no struggle whatsoever. It was a faux kill, as his body was regenerated after elimination.
11. Android Seventeen – incineration (faux)
Dante’s Abyss (2007) – during the finale, the android found the saiyan, sword drawn, intending revenge on the previous night’s kill, and still thinking Bardock was someone else. Although going Super Saiyan in a flash, Bardock was unquestionably overwhelmed by the enraged Seventeen, quickly losing his fight. In a last ditch effort, Bar threw his teddy bear bomb, killing the android in a fiery explosion. It was a faux kill, as his body was regenerated after elimination.
12. Bra – ballistic trauma (faux)
Dante’s Abyss (2007) – during the finale, Bardock encountered Bra while battered and bloody from the bomb. He managed to power up again, and sidestepped a ki shotgun blast aimed at him. Bra too went Super Saiyan, and after hitting him in the shoulder matched her shotgun against his trusty pistol in a close range split-second showdown. Bardock hit her first. It was a faux kill, as her body was regenerated after elimination.
13. Raditzu – ballistic trauma (faux)
Dante’s Abyss (2007) – during the finale, Raditzu was going head-to-head with Yamu, the fight down to three contestants. Gravely injured, Rad managed to get the best of the human, preparing himself for the final blow. In a moment of poetic karma, Bardock blasted through his eldest son’s chest with Bra’s ki shotgun. It was a faux kill, as his body was regenerated after elimination.
14. Yamu – ballistic trauma (faux)
Dante’s Abyss (2007) – during the finale, Yamu had escaped Raditzu’s killing blow, but he was now head-to-head with Bardock: the only two survivors. The fight seemed momentarily even until the saiyan lost a section of his torso to a well-aimed shotgun blast. As Yamu fired another shot, Bardock felt a surge of new power and leapt over it. The saiyan headbutted the human and knocked him to the ground. In a final moment of victory, a Super Saiyan 2 Bardock fired the last shotgun blast. It was a faux kill, as his body was regenerated after elimination.
DEATHS:
01. Cell – incineration (faux)
Friend or Foe II – Bardock was locked in fierce combat with Kao, upon whom he?d sworn vengeance for humiliation and the genocidal murder of his family. The two were completely even, neither giving in. Unfortunately, the fight ended in a draw: the Watchman saw it necessary that their personal grudge match cease before the war between angels and demons began, and sent Cell to self-destruct and kill the both of them. It was a faux death, as it was only a game and Bardock was teleported back to where he came from.
02. Raditzu – ballistic trauma/decapitation (faux)
Dante’s Abyss (2006) – down, but still determined to fight, Bardock squared off against his own son after killing Android Eighteen. This time, it was pistol versus shotgun. While successfully wounding Raditzu, he couldn’t stand up to the second blast, and consequently had his head blown off. It was a faux death, as his body was regenerated after elimination.
03. Super Buu – head trauma/decapitation
Propechy’s Child III – while he was fighting with the Changeling Army against the saiyans, Bardock encountered the saiyan ally Super Buu, whom he?d previously seen in Dante’s Abyss as Gohan’s killer. The two engaged in a ruthless battle, and eventually both ascended into Spiritken and Super Saiyan, respectively. Although Bardock was more powerful, he was overtaken. Buu wanted to grant mercy, but the saiya-jin insisted he be finished off, and was thus decapitated.
