Alright, I've reworked the saga I posted before alot. Basic gist, just a bit more in depth on the goal of the saga. Everything I'm about to post can be changed if it needs to be and is also a work in progress. This is my first attempt on my own. I had to take a nap earlier, not feeling well.
Name of Saga:
Need or Greed.
Logistics of the Saga:
Each player is a member of either Thing’s Go Boom Incorporated (Selfless), Widget’s Incorporated (Greedy).
Each company has hired mercenaries, (the players) to gather pockets of static electricity that have been popping up all over Earth for study. You can join the group that is trying to help humanity, or the group that is trying to harness the power to develop weapons. Each side has a different behind the scenes story and slight advantages and disadvantages (To be determined)
Using an MAD, or Mercenary Amperage Detector given to the player by their hiring company, they may gather different size pockets of this static electric energy. At the end of the day each player turns their MAD into their employer and is rewarded depending on how much is collected.
This energy is EXTREMELY abundant. Each company is going to have merc's going after it. To combat the competition, each company has outfitted each player with a set of gloves. These gloves, using a minute amount of KI, generate EMP waves, thus destroying energy pockets. Players may encounter each other and eliminate the other's supply of energy or take it for their own. Combat is looked down upon since local Military authorities will press charges against both companies for any damage sustained to surrounding areas. (To control the combat aspect, but at the same time welcome some of it)
Equipment:
Each players starts out as a Rank 1 Mercenary in either TGBI’s roster or WI’s roster. The player starts out with 50 Saga EXP. This Experience is spendable on "Saga Only" items that will boost stats, grant abilties, and increase Combat Ability. Each Rank is a total of 200 Saga XP. It can be tweaked for length of the Saga. Up to Chubbs Members.
To calculate XP to add to your character's bank, take the amount earned for the post you need Saga XP for and multiply it by 5. IE: I made a post worth 5 XP. 5 x 5 = 25. So I get 25 Saga XP. (SXP)
Rank 1 Starting Equipment: Company Issue Field Body Armor; Company Issue Flashlight; Company Issue Batteries x2 (Replenishable at each camp for free, 4 hour life); Mercenary Amperage Detecter/Storage (MAD/MADS).
Some items to purchase include Night Vision goggles, EMP deflectors, better Static energy detection for your MAD.
More to come...

So what kind of scenarios would we overcome to get these static electricity (pockets?)? We aren't just roleplaying harvesting stuff, are we? I assume there will be obstacles, and stuff that means some type of action.

Still ironing that out from the old idea. I have some ideas. ^-^

Hmmm. I like it. I could definitely fit Juno into it.
As to address the 'undetermined' aspect of the bonuses for each side, you would obviously be able to say the evil one pays better. As for the good one, well, I suppose you could say that the good side gives more XP/has cheaper prices for the 'equipment.'

Yeah, still working out some finer details. I'll note that for when I can head into fine details. =D

It's not my kinda thing. I would probably not contribute, but it sounds like you'd have a good following

I could definitely work this into my saga, so i'd probably be involved.

The only thing I really like about the idea is the saga xp, and I don't understand it. Will the items we gain from it carry over into regular rp and more sagas?

I'm sure the Saga XP can be incorporated into all Saga's. But the items for each saga, at least for this form of the idea, would not carry over to Regular RP and only for the certain saga. Unless they come up with general items for each saga. Still working out the specifics.

I'm withholding judgment until Jax's question is more thoroughly answered. Could be pretty interesting.
The set-up seems to be designed to encourage a rather lengthy saga, too.
EDIT: Just to be clear, when I say "judgment" I don't mean, like, official admin judgment or anything. I mean how I feel about it, personally... as a member.

Not a saga suited for Xena, but it has potential, so good luck.

It seems like it could be an endless, energy harnessing saga. I think it needs obstacles the groups would need to overcome in order to collect the static energy, and more clarification on how the saga xp works. I'd hope it'd only be something unique to this saga. Like, we obviously would still gain our RPing XP, but the saga xp would be something given out at the end of the 'day' as a reward for collected energy or whatever.

The concept behind Saga XP was to allow any saga to have purchasable items for use in the event.
I also thought about making it build up over each saga, then you buy unique items with it. Items better than the ones in Capsule Corp.
For now, I was going to get Saga XP by just multiplying the XP we earn for a post we do in the Saga, and doing that. If it goes through, its a possible script idea.
IE: A RP Post gets me 3 regular XP. Thus take 3 x 5 and 15 Saga XP. Going by what I originally posted. It can be tweaked accordingly of course.
Update: Still working on scenarios and obstacles. If you have Ideas feel free to PM me. Or if you have my screename, IM me. =D

Saga XP won't be something we make a script for. Just an FYI.

That's fine. When I post stuff like that, it's all ideas. They can be thrown out, burnt, stomped on, or used. Your call.

I like it but am not sure how you could add it to the script.

I don't know how you set this one up to be honest Waffle. But the first thing that popped into my brain is.
Take the entire XP system we have now.
COPY IT. As in, right click and copy.
Rename it SXP and Saga XP and what not.
Then change the math up.
Add it in as a seperate calculation and bingo, have both.
*NOTE: Excludes editing time, if its possible or not, etc, etc.

Obstacle One: (Semi Ironed Out)
Energy Shade:
Because of the flux in static energy a type of apparation has begun to appear all over Earth. Few in numbers but invincible to physical and energy attacks of all kind, it is a force to wreckon with. Each company has stated that they must be avoided at all cost. They cannot track energy signatures, and their ranged attacked reaches for only a few meters. They can only teleport through Static bubbles, and must be within 500 feet of one to sustain itself for combat. The companies are working on a way to force one safely away from a bubble and capture it, as itself is made of concentrated energy. They use concentrated electricity, almost equaling the force of a solar wind stream, to attack. They don't move very fast and cannot teleport for combat. To reiterate, they only teleport between energy bubbles. They can track you when you approach an energy node since they just randomly teleport between nodes. The chance is slim, but while harevesting you could encounter one.
