A remarkably beautiful young woman, Sage has long, pale blue hair tied in elegant pigtails which reach past her waist, and striking, rose-colored eyes. She's typically found wearing tight-fitting, traditional Asian-inspired clothing, often with a somewhat modern twist. Despite her saiyan heritage, Sage was born without a tail, and does not possess one.
Sage is somewhat of an oddity. Descendant of a long line of fiery-tempered warriors, one would expect a much different attitude of the girl than the one she possesses. In fact, because of an as-yet only hinted at, but still quite terrible, tragedy, Sage is incredibly timid, hardly able to speak to anyone outside her immediate family.
She doesn’t respond well to attention, and will shy away from the limelight given the slightest opportunity. When she is forced to interact with strangers, her nervousness is obvious. From her hesitant, stammering speech to her uncomfortable demeanor, her difficulty socializing is apparent.
As a doctor, such a trait would seem enormously disadvantageous. However, Sage’s personality shifts dramatically in a medical emergency. Medicine is her passion, and she knows that a lack of focus could mean the death of her patients. Therefore, she has somehow developed the ability to block out her mind, focusing only on the emergency at hand. In such a state, Sage is confident and collected, and totally able to command the situation. Sadly, this focusing ability is totally unconscious, and since Sage is hardly aware of it, she’s totally unable to apply it to any other areas of her life.
Sage has an unshakable relationship with her twin sister Xena. Comfortable enough to speak with her about anything, Xena is just about the only person who really knows what’s going on in Sage’s life. Their relationship is certainly an odd one, strained by Xena’s abusive influence and Sage’s intense neediness, but the two are virtually symbiotic - Sage takes care of their basic needs and in return looks to Xena for protection from the outside world.
Only one secret exists that Sage keeps from her sister. She’s addicted to Valium, and, as a doctor, doesn’t have excessive difficulty acquiring it, though ensuring she covers her tracks is quite difficult. Dependent on the relaxing effect the drug has on her, Sage relies on it to keep her intense anxiety in check, though she’s been forced to take it in steadily increasing dosages over the years as her body’s immunity to it has become quite impressive.
Combat
Sage is not a fighter. In the past, as a child, she had been quite deadly. Though she had never mastered ki, much to her parents’ dismay, she had learned to fly and learned how to wield the element of ice in battle. For a long time, she was far more powerful than her sister who now protects her. Since the unspoken tragedy in her past, however, Sage’s command over any fighting techniques has disappeared. Through disuse, she’s lost the ability to fly or wield elemental ki, and her fighting style is essentially nonexistent from years without any training. Any danger she might still present is crippled by her fearful demeanor.
Further hindering her ability to fight is another problem: Sage has severe asthma. She carries a pump with her at all times, but it’s still fairly easy for her to overexert herself.
Reaction to FoF
Sage will be terrified about her situation when the game starts. Given her extreme difficulty socializing, it's naturally very hard for Sage to make acquaintances and this may play against her when it comes time to making alliances. She is opposed to harming people, and isn't an effective fighter anyway. Sage is unable to use ki or any of the abilities listed in her roster as yet, which further complicates her standing in the competition.
