It sucks!!!

But yeah, I got this today. Very addictive, I never got beyond the 30s in levels for the last game but I can see myself going far in this. Oddly my favourite weapons shotgun and machine pistol are secondary weapons now, but that's cool because it lets me use them with other stuff. Lightweight is easily my favourite perk, it's so fun to shoot from the hip whilst dashing around with it. I feel it's much more noob-friendly too. Though the deathstreaks suck, the way kill streaks are handled mean that you can spec for all the lowest ones and have a much easier time than otherwise.

Not to mention if you go for high-end killstreaks and actually get to them, you're pretty much guaranteed shitloads of kills usually. The reason it feels more noob friendly is because hardcore needs to be unlocked in order to play it and therefore you're in 'normal' mode where everyone can take 5 shots before dying.

I'm definitely not playing for the realism. My experience with hardcore is mass camping and even more raging elitists than normal mode (which is pretty bad, this being Call of Duty).

MW2 is really fun to rank up in. Right now you can use a riot shield in some games and sometimes people won't know what to do. You can just run up and whack em while they shoot. Eventually, ofcourse, they get smart.

And the machine pistol is awesome.

I spent some time on the 'story' mode, and I've gotta say ... 'that part' is retarded. Not thought provoking, not even shocking, just ... retarded.

Yeah. The whole "trying to be thought provoking one second, overblown and shallow action movie plot the next second" thing (if you don't know what I'm talking about, play MGS) doesn't generally irk me because I tend to just find those things funny. But in this case they play it totally straight and there's nothing to even laugh at. It's blatant controversy for controversy's sake, but they pretend it's hard-hitting moral story. So for me it's just an "ugh".
