Fuck you, Insomnia. I've been laying in bed since 11 PM trying to fall asleep. Just took some meds from the doctor to help I forgot I had.

Only a matter of time before I'm out cold.

if you're awake, don't try to force sleep. it doesn't work very well. same goes for trying to say up when you're tired.

but don't use artificial lighting, espeically don't turn the lights on or sit in front of a computer screen (during late evening or nighttime). the light plays tricks on the mind, and can trigger "daytime" mental activity that makes it harder to fall asleep. it's better to sit in a dark room and watch tv from a distance or something like that. when i have to get to sleep i tend to go to the basement (where i keep my tv), grab a blanket and few beers, then watch some terrible movie like the matrix revolutions or starwars ep3. works like a charm.

It's honestly more a mental thing for me. I mean, by going to sleep bored you've admitted defeat. By going to sleep before you've DONE something, you're just admitting to yourself and the world that you suck and you have nothing of value worth doing before sleep. You aren't tired because you did nothing with your day and you'll end your day before you've done something with it.

Sometimes it's just that I don't WANT to sleep yet. I still want to wring somethin more out of the wakefulness.

exercise. the body craves it. but not within six hours of bedtime, that'll only make it more difficult to sleep. early morning is usually the best time if you have things to do during the day. great way to wake up, too.

but if you're not doing anything all day... :|

I've been workin out every day. Til my lips go numb on that damn cycle. I was so dizzy last itme I couldn't lift afterwards... So I lift mon wed fri and cycle tues thurs now. I haven't actualy started this cycle yet, that's next week!

Fucking horrrible weekend for sleep. Sturday had to get up at 4. Sunda,y I couldn't sleep cause I had to try and sleep in my car and my feet got so frozen they hurt too bad to sleep, and then today I just didn't catch up. I am starting to jsut get angry at the world.
