Splinter Cell VS. MGS

Yeah but MGS isn't realistic. If you crawl under something you wait like two minutes and forget you. You have to hide in shadows and in the previous SC's you can't go in shooting because they barely give you ammo and some missions you can't kill anybody. I havn't played MGS3 yet that's why I go with SC. And the previews I see of MGS are good but it looks like the screen is way far out but I like that in SC you're close up to the character and can see. Also, SC is Xbox Live enabled. It's sweet. And Chaos Theory will be tons better.

Yeah, Recoome; ratings mean nothing. At all.

Take movies for example. I find that a movie with a low rating is often much better than, say, a movie that got five stars. (There are exceptions that prove my rule)

And some games are rated far too low/far too high.

Anyway;

I have only played Splinter Cell 1, and Metal Gear Solid 2.

Graphics: Gotta hand it to MGS2 on this one. The shading for Splinter Cell was beautiful, but MGS2 takes the cake.

Gameplay: Splinter Cell. MGS2 was perhaps a bit more diverse, but Splinter Cell's seemed tighter.

Suspense: MGS2, by far. When the colonel went all crazy in the end, and the world practically fell apart, I couldn't NOT play that game. SC is great with this, but doesn't even touch MGS2.

Entertainment: Splinter Cell. I personally found more enjoyment out of it, and would rather run through it a couple times more rather than MGS2.

In the end, SC wins over MGS2 for me, though not by much. I can't vouch for the original MGS, however, and perhaps that's where my analysis falters.

I haven't really played any of the SC game's.. but from what I havep layed of them, I like MGS alot more better. Maybe it's becuase I have a better grasp at what the hell is going in them or some thing, I dunno.. But yeah, MGS for me.
