Stupid f***ing computer

OK, my computer's pretty good. 3.2ghz processor, 1gb DRAM, 256mb Radeon 9600 XT video card, etc. Anyway, I just recently bought KOTOR for it, and it's installed and everything, but for some reason, every about half hour when it has to load (like switching between areas) it likes to freeze, and then crash. I've run GTA San Andreas with absolutely no problems whatsoever and that game is more resource draining I'm sure.

Anyway, I was just wanting opinions/solutions on the problem. And please, if you say 'get new drivers' tell me where to get the bastards, because I can't find them.
