This cabin had a lot of history.
Gohan recognized it immediately. This was where had his huge power struggle with Brim. This is where he had lost.
The cabin was rebuilt, and now all thirty two fighters were in it or outside it, as if they just appeared there at once. There were many reunions, like Burter and Uub, or Krillin and Android 20. Still, not one person had any idea what to do. Even those who had been here before.
"Hello there," Brim said from the side. Everyone moved outside, most staying on the porch of the cabin. No one said anything, just waiting for him to continue. "My name is Brim. To my left is my son, Kao. To my right, is my...pet, you could say. Akira Dezmon." He could see Goku wince. He cared for the woman. "Welcome to a new generation of the hit television series. Friend or Foe II."
"Never heard of it," Raditzu spoke out.
"No," Brim answered. "You wouldn't have. It's a secret underground project. It used to feature twenty fighters killing each other off. However, I have improved it. This time, you will all be working together, towards a common goal."
"What goal?" He heard. It was the overweight human, Yajirobe.
"To survive, of course," he grinned. "Now before any panics, nobody will really die. When you die here, thanks to one of my best inventions, you will return to where you came from.
"But I was already dead," Twenty told him. A couple other people nodded in agreement.
"No need to worry about that. You will simply return to where it is you died. May I continue?" Nobody spoke now. "Good. Here is how things will work. What you do, and the choices you make, will determine how you do. There are collars, around all your necks. Simply put, if you choose to not participate, I will kill you. I will really kill you," Brim told them darkly, to stress his point.
"What exactly do we do?" Zarbon asked from the rocking chair.
Brim nodded. "For the first part, you will seperated, by number, into four groups. Each group will have a map and a common goal, as well a randomly specified leader. Whether you listen to your leader is up to you."
He moved to the left, pointing out at the landscape. The current area was very green, blending with the nighttime. Beyond them, it appeared the rest of the asteroid was a wasteland. "This is Kala, a formerly inhabited asteroid. However, civil war broke them apart, and now it is nothing more then a bloody memory. Some old ruins remain, but that's about it. In each area there are many obstacles, and clues for you to find."
"Can we cut to the chase?" Bra asked impatiently.
"Fine," he said, leering at the warrioress. "Your groups will all have a similar goal. Find a particular clue that will aid you in finding out what brought out the problems of the Kala Civil War, and unlocking the many mysteries of this asteroid."
"How will we know the clues when we see it?" Raditzu asked curiously. He was really getting into this, being a competitive person.
"Just trust me," he told him. "You will."
