August Ratings

Staff should be excluded from the ratings, it kinda seems like people vote for them just because they're staff.. it's a safe vote. I think it would be alot more interesting if staff was not included in the ratings.

Actually it wouldnt be, beacuse most categories would be empty beacuse there is no match For example:

Best IC:Empty

Screw that. Some of the staff actually take the time to RP. The majority of the votes so far haven't even been for staff. I certainly don't think there is any actual ass-kissing going on at all. Its not like it would get them anything even if they tried.

I read all the rps last night and I might actually make an "unofficial" one. It is my opinions, but its more accurate then before because I've had the time to read em. I just need better catagories =/

Like I said before, I really just don't like the idea of giving awards... I think we should just have people throw out one or two posts that they feel are the must reads of someone else. And give a sentance or two about why they liked it. In my mind, that's more positive and alot more helpful to the writers.

Thats what I intended this for. Honestly, if I hadn't of done this, I'd have no idea about anything. The whole reason I started reading Rad's stuff was cause of this.

I didn't do it just to please someone though. I did it to give people ideas of good things to read to get a good idea of how to improve

I just think it would be alot better as highlighting some posts and giving some feedback on them.. heck, you could have the people who read the posts that are suggested give some feedback as well. Have it be a "How's my driving?" over a "Hey I think you rock, here's a medal."

I think this is being discussed waaaay too seriously. Its just something to do for fun. It doesn't actually mean anything. If someone wants to suck up to the staff, and make staff members the recipients of all their "awards" then so be it. If someone wants to make a point of not having a single staff member be given an award, then fine. Just let people post their opinions on who's the "best". If someone wants to later ask why they got an award they're free to do that. If someone wants to add reasoning behind their opinions, all the better. The fact of the matter is that these are simply opinions and have no actual bearing on anything.
