1) First and foremost, why should you be selected to play?
Why should I be selected to play? I'm not going to call myself great here, but I do know a bit about how this place works. Kinda sorta. I'm not going to say I know everything, but I know enough to pull through. I'm also a pretty hard worker, even if it isn't shown in my roleplays. I usually help out in events on other boards, such as the good olde 500th Super Post Celebration. I made a whole comic for it. Good times.
2) What qualities do you possess that will make you the Idol?
'If there's a will, there's a way,' and I have the will to go through with this. That's a start, because without determination, your TPs would be lower. And that was a bad joke. But, in truth, determination is important, otherwise you wouldn't go much further than a mere step on the long road to staff-hood.
I have a bit of creativity on my side, which is good for adaptably, which is key to doing anything. I may not have a mountain, or as much as some others, but I can work my way through things with it, and contribute to ideas. And that's what keeps a group chugging along. Like a choo-choo train. Choo-choo!
I have patience. Lots and lots of patience. And that is important for some of the more grueling things staff have to do. Updates included, 'course. Burter may remember my impatience when I first signed up, but I've improved alot since then.
3) Tell me any previous experience you have with running an RPG. Included should be the name of the RPG, the genre, and how long it lasted.
I'm not going to lie to you. I have no experience.
4) Finally, you need to write a short essay/description (200+ words) of what you feel being a staff member of Chubbs is all about. What do you think is nessecary, what do you think has to be done. Be detailed, as much as you can. Don't kiss our asses, we arn't looking for compliments.
What I think being a staff member is all about, huh? That's easy. Making a great place for writers to make a character and do what they please, and most of all, to improve. I've improved alot on Chubbs with the advice given here, and I think its important to keep on expanding the options that we write about, to keep having fun while doing it. Chubbs has always been a fun place for the members, and has been regulated by Staff to keep it that way. Adding nifty features and such, while at the same time keeping it all under control. I've always noticed how this place is nearly flameless. Its almost crazy when you look at other boards and Chubbs side to side.
I'd like to keep it this way, and make it better. How, you ask? I'd like to brainstorm with other staff members about this, because, one alone can't do the job. I do have my own ideas, however.
Of course, there is the 'more features' thing, which everyone is probably for, but fun factor and interest is the main thing. Of course, still keeping regulations and such in there. Maybe some different sagas? I loved what the group came up for Heaven last time around. Unique sagas that aren't all fighting, and include a more interesting setting would be nice. It may sound a tad cliche, but its important. That's why its cliche.
I was also thinking about a better Adding Moves setup. The thread seems a bit scattered and messy. I'll be honest: I've thought of no solution yet, but its one of the things I'm thinking about.
Also, possibly a better warning system too. Sometimes, too many or too little chances are given. Sometimes it seems a bit all over the place. I'd like to fix the rules to definite, so there wouldn't be anymore 'I didn't deserve that.' Then, there would be less trouble.
I'm still searching for more holes and things that I can patch in this leaky pool. But, you get my point. The writer's experience is my top priority. I want to give people the same experience that I got. The same growth I got.
