Are you guys sticking with the '1 point for Minor, 2 points for Normal, 3 points for Major Warning' thing, or are you leaving it completely open? As well as the whole escalating-time-period temporary bans when they reach warning level 4, 6 and 8 thing.

For reference, since the thread no longer exists, the original system:

Minor Warning ? Counts for 1 Point
Slap on the wrist. If you make a mistake for the first time, ie something you should have read in the rules but didn?t, you?ll get off with one of these.

Moderate Warning ? Counts for 2 Points
If you?ve been warned before about doing stupid things and you?ve still done it, you?ll get one of these. Flaming, spamming, or outright defying staff all constitute a moderate warning.

Major Warning ? Counts for 3 Points
If you?ve seriously irritated staff or members, you?ll bag a major warning. These won?t be handed out often, so if you get one you should take notice and stop doing whatever got you it.

4 Points ? Banned for 24 Hours
6 Points ? Banned for 72 Hours
8 Points ? Banned for one week.
10 Points ? Banned for good.

Staff reserve the right to give bigger warnings, or, if necessary, instant bans.

No, that's not the way we're doing it. Staff is free to assign as many points as they want to a warning. There are no defined penalties for points below ten, but staff is free to issue temp bans when they see necessary.
