The Reaping
#1
I just got back from this.

This movie scared the shit out of me.

How's that for a review?

I'm going to get this movie and set it right next to Silent Hill, the last movie that freaked me out this much (aside from maybe the Covenant, but this had an entirely different feel to it).

In a completely different way, as far as the thing in the car and such, but not so much.

This has the little girl played by the AnnaSophia Robb chick that also played in Bridge to Terabithia (which I have yet to see still). She did a really good job at looking reallly freaky and calm the entire movie, in much the same way as Silent Hill.

Silent Hill? That movie wasn't scary at all...

Now the Grudge... that's a scary movie.

Silent Hill wasn't scary at all. I thought the little girl was awesome. I was just confused about what the hell happened with the whole time frame and all. How she was in one place and he was, but they were nowhere near each other...

Watching The Grudge I wasn't scared at all, it was after when the lights went out and the pipes kept making weird noises....

You totally missed the entire "You are in an alternate universe" / "taken to the otherside" thing it had going on.

To really get the experience of silent hill, you need to play the game at night, alone, with stereo sound. The movie has nothing on that.

Video games at night are the most visceral experience there is.

Silent hill was pretty scary, whenever you hear the siren it stirs you up.

The Grudge wasn't scary at all, IMO.

I wish I had the time to pop to the movies as often as you Tim.

Eh, the Grudge was alright scare wise, Silent Hill didn't scare me at all but was still really good, and I havn't seen the reaping. The movie that has freaked me out most recently was Candyman on TV, and the Descent.
If I were a creeper I would hide in... your closet. Or under your bed, you know, depending on the weather.

Walking around in that endless fog, alone with that radio that plays nothing but static...
