Incentive/Question/Plea/Thingy

It's pretty random, and quite a bit too late since the incentives conversation ended more then a week ago, but I thought of it today and I figured no harm could come from asking...

Since there are only 40-something days left before the restart(before April first that is, not the real number I know...but the estimate) why not bring back the dragon balls? It could probably raise some activty, could give people something to do, and could take the place of the saga that a lot of people wanted to have.

Just a suggestion, feel free to shoot it down but it just seemed intresting to me.

Usually I would be against things like this to be honest, but I have to agree. If you bring Dragonballs into the picture, I bet more people would be even more active. And activity is the only thing that's going to keep this RPG alive, as it is, activity is slowing way down. We still have a lot of members, but the majority of them aren't doing much of anything, other than trying to pass the time for the reset.

Anyway, bring the db's back or something, I know that I'll hunt those babies down!

Dragonballs wouldn't hurt, but then what's the incentive of gathering them when whatever you get will be erased by the reset anyways? Personal storyline? A few people might be moved for that, but probably not enough to truly revitalize the board.

Maybe allow them to keep what they wish for?

IE: extra zeni at the beginning, a wish to keep a technique, a with to keep an item, maybe 30 to every stat at the beginning.

Well, people could always start out with dragonballs after the Turnover. As long as their effects are negated for this lettin' out of 'em, and they are spread out fairly diversely, then it could be quite intriguing. I'd much prefer this than the current proposal being used.

I think I'd just point out that April is probably not the set-in-stone month of the switch. I'm sure there's still a lot to get done, and frankly, people get lazy.

well, there are 7 planets, why not put one one each? That would force people to travel, aka use their ships, and make each planet useful for other things than just shopping.

Well, Mercy hasn't been used for about 3+ months now...Frost has barely ever been used and hasn't been in over a month, same with outerspace and before Yamu, 16, MB, and myself, Arlia hadn't been used in months either...it's mainly Vegeta, Namek, and Earth and that's it. I just figured this would give actual purpose for them to be used.

THink HF meant that the DB's be given to PC's after trhe Reset. Not searching for them now. Just he wants the DB's effects to be negated for this round. For the simple fact the DB with the Power up would give someone and early advantage and all.

And look at it like this. Mercy and Frost are you're planets for bad people. You dont have a whole lot of them here. And I'll be on Mercy after im done with earth. Got to go get an NPC from there and stuff.

Besides, no one has enough time to get half the dragon balls anyways.

Since the turnover has been indefiantly put off for the time being I figgured it couldn't hurt to bring back this suggestion. Any new thoughts?
