[10] Alliances
#1
ALLIANCES

An “alliance” is a gathering of characters that band together through a common goal or mutual friendship. We encourage people to interact with others, and this is one of the ways you can accomplish that. There are benefits to being in an Alliance: you can support each other financially, you can hunt dragon balls for faster gathering, you can get friends who have your back in battle, or you can just have a bunch of people to hang out and role-play with. It may also provide for some good rivalry: many epic Alliance wars have been fought in the past!

In order to become an official Alliance, you must have a minimum of two (2) members and purchase the Alliance Headquarters item, which costs 7,500 zeni. You can split this cost among multiple people, or have one person foot the whole bill.

Each Alliance is also required to have a Leader, but you may have Co-Leaders if you want. The Leader is the overall authority in the group, and chooses the name, as well as has the ability to kick out members of the Alliance if they see fit. Co-Leaders must come to a mutual consensus. Leadership may be passed from one member to another. A Leader may select a “supporting member” who will take care of the Alliance if they are absent. If an Alliance Leader should go inactive and disappear for a long period of time without notice or instruction, another member of the Alliance may take over the Leadership. Leaders may also choose to dissolve the Alliance, and any joint purchases will have to be divvied up amongst the remaining members. Keep in mind that all items place in Alliance storage units are considered public property of the entire Alliance!

In the past, members of Alliances have often been given “ranks,” which can be actual official ranks of power within the Alliance, or simply nicknames just for fun. They also often either followed a theme (such as playing card suits), or were something that poked fun at the character itself (“Nail – something we stick in wooden boards”).

Aside from the advantages listed above, several items are classified as “Alliance Headquarters only” upgrades, and as such are only available to Alliances. For instance, you can choose to purchase the “Meeting Room” upgrade, which will grant you the use of your own private forum that gives access only to your Alliance members.

You’re also, of course, more than welcome to create your own Alliance forum outside of the Chubbs board. There are many free message board providers that have quality use and will get the job done just fine.

I don't want to feel the things that you do
Don't worry, I'll be fine
I just don't want this dream, wake me up inside=_
