Dojo of Light Quests

Are participants going to be updated upon completing a temple to what they feel like is an appropriate amount of work for a medallion or will they need to submit their work thereafter they believe it to be done and have staff look it over to decide whether or not its enough? I ask because both have their problems. The first I can see from staff perspective in writers doing to least amount of work for the maximum reaping. The second is more of an issue from the member's point of view, wrapping up a quest with an epic finisher to then have staff come and say "Nope, keep writing." Puts a damper on the drive to have to end on a less than stellar note when you've put work in on that last power post, ya know?

Honestly at this point in time it's probably going to be case by case, plus the staff member who judges. For me, I would judge on quality and the amount of thought put into the RP's rather than quantity and a RP that may be very confusing (like doing things that would make no sense).

The whole point of the Dojo from what I recall is that it's supposed to give you something to do and possibly get out of heaven. Unless staff decide to make a guideline for earning an Emblem it's going to be, as I said, between the case and the staff member.

I may bring this up in the staff forum regardless. Really, I think those who wish to participate should focus on writing and enjoying it rather than the end reward (chances are if you are dedicated to the task you'll get what you're trying to get).

Oh naturally, it beats the hell out of doing random tasks all over Heaven. The point only came up when I was writing today and wondered about how I would work in the first Emblem after I felt like I've milked that quest for all its worth, if I'd be allowed to write out the actual giving of so I can skip onto the next line in the story.

Once you feel you've done enough post in this forum asking for an update and a staff member will see to it. I'm pretty sure we staff want to be the ones giving out the Emblems. Just write a cliffhanger and ask for an update.

Basically, what Anikah said. Leave the post at a cliffhanger, post it in the Updates forum, and the staff will then judge. If you're approved, go ahead and write your epic finale / giving of the emblem, but only AFTER being approved by a staffer.

Awesome. One more thing that I'd like to ask is would it be possible for staff to come up with a few personality profiles for the NPC constants? Doesn't have to be more than a few sentences if it's not too much trouble, could be thrown into the Roster forum as a single post with everything in it if anything.

Only ask as a callback to the Legends forum where Kajin Rala had a list describing the different sensei to be trained under that I thought was a nice addition, especially after someone (can't recall) butchered my image of Lord Vine after reading their post. Felt that could've been avoided if there was a straight source one could look to for inspiration on the fly if needed for extra kick to their writing, plus it keeps consistency with the character. Wouldn't mind writing up Anitan's myself considering I'll be working with him through my piece.
