Very self serving, but still cool

Talking in the chatbox about me not going to WoW lead to the fact that Orion's dead. Then the discussion came up that we could possibly institute a system of temporary revival, akin to Goku's one day for the tournament during the Buu saga, but then at the end of the day they go back to the afterlife. What do you think?

I think it should be introduced at some point, but not exactly canon. You should either pay an XP fee or a zeni fee and get one day back or one event (Saga).

I think this would be a badass way of letting dead people not miss out on awesome events like sagas and such without having to trivialise revival costs or whatever. Though some way to discourage people from dying again just because it won't matter much would be good. Like, "if you die when you're already dead, it's a pain in the ass for us to find and reconjumbulate your soul again so it'll be an X zeni charge". Or they keep the deposit or something =P

I've always liked the uniqueness of DBZ's afterlife in that they treat it like an office rather than a mystical place.

That or we just use our brains and catch someone trying to die again. If it happens in a Saga legally, then let it slide.

Or maybe you'll be barred from using it for a month or two. Just like the Battle Charger has a two week cool down.

Lower the price of revivals while you're at it.

Cheaper revival costs, yes. And I like the initial idea of like a one day pass kind of thing. Death is pretty boring, and uneventful, and over the years I've seen too many people die and go inactive. It should be a little easier to get out.

I feel the opposite. Death, in character, will have little meaning if everybody just up and comes back all the time.

To me, the thread is less about criticizing/defending Avatar and more about wondering how stoned Jack was when he saw the movie/made the thread.

Eh there is a down side to this. If dying became awesome and cool and everyone who died was active, this whole mechanic would rarely get used.

Then there's the route where death stays awkward like dropping water on your pants in a restaurant and getting up to wipe it. Then it'll get used.

Death will never get awesome and cool.

I would bet money on it. Y'know... if I... had money.

Maybe I would have money if I didn't keep making insane bets! DID YOU EVER THINK OF THAT?!

Anyway, yeah. I sincerely doubt we have to worry about death becoming CDBZ chic.
