Short Biography:
Formerly a high-ranking and respected demon of the underworld, Jimmy Ruger is now an almost invisible citizen of South City. His expulsion from his prior life is, unfortunately, a mystery to him. James is aware that he is a demon, and, through basic observation, has noticed that he no longer resembles his former self, and that he no longer resides in the depths of hell; but that is all that he knows. The only evidence of his past life exists within the confines of his passions and his abilities. Although severely diminished, his skills have not entirely vanished. And much to his dismay neither has hints of his demonic personality.

For years, he has lived peacefully and without interruption on the shores of a large river to the east of rural South City. He takes his boat out in the morning, fishes, and then returns home in the evening, occasionally venturing the market to sell his surplus.

But recently, he has begun to notice some changes . . .
