What's up guys? long time to talk...I've been really busy trying to stay on the ball with school to be able to transfer along with work and other stuff I haven't had much time to RP or really check in here.
Anyway, I'm taking a detective literature course over the summer because its a requirement and I'm trying to get it out of the way...but for our first paper we have the option of writing a creative story, a detective story. long story short I've been considering my options with it and figured the best place for advice I can go to is here. Not that anyone here is an experienced detective writer...or are there?...but I think it would be more helpful to talk to some other writers about their point of view...maybe some suggestions or something like that? I'll probably post the story here before I hand it in.
Just a side note...it doesn't have to be anything crazy just something to base an idea around to get a decent grade off of. I doubt there will be but if anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about, think of Sherlock Holmes hahaha.
What I've thought up so far what can get some criticism on is this: The story will be based in London (Cliche, but whatever.), and as for the crime I was thinking somewhere along the lines of a fake crime...where maybe an actor or someone as such would report a fake crime for publicity...i figure something like that would stick cause most other people will do murder or something along those lines. the dective will live alone in a small apartment, with some odd quarks and all that. and the story will be told first person from the sidekicks perspective. I'll a lot of details as I'm actually writing I'm just brainstorming now.
Also...I really wasn't sure where to post this so I figured why not here...
So, any suggestions?
