Is it possible to change a character's trait without doing an actual character switch? I'd guess it would be possible, if a character is evolving IC or has some kind of experience to make him/her/it go from lone wolf to pack mentality or vice versa.

At the moment there is no way to change your trait. You'll have to remake to do so.
