Out of curiosity, I would like to ask something. If a roleplayer has a well-developed NPC, is he/she allowed to make that NPC his/her Alt, should he/she decide to do so? Or does the "cannot have any relation with existing characters" rule apply to Alts as well?
Also, assuming he has permission from the writer, can a new player take up an existing NPC as his main?

Yes to both.

Kinda relates to Tasmin's query. Could someone make an alt that was an NPC of a former PC of theirs?
Does honesty earn respect or inspire revenge? Is it smarter to attack the strong or annihilate the weak?
