Man Trapped in an Elevator
#21
4 hours and people knew she was in there? That's not so bad. A waste of time, yes, but hardly traumatic.

Yeah, our elevators actually have built in PHONES, unlike the one this man was in apparently.

It was like the mid 90's and the phone in the elevator only talked to someone in the building. Everyone had gone home for the weekend. Sucks to be that guy, yo.

There is no possible way an elevator would fall even if all the cables broke, and there's a bunch of them. It's like aircraft cable, too. It won't break. Even if they all do, there are like eight emergency brakes attached to the car, plus the standard one.

It's not going anywhere.

Yes, but most people don't know hoe elevator shafts and the cables work (including myself). But even if you're trapped in there for that long, that possibility has to be going through your head and causing you to go psycho over it. Even now, if you were to explain how it's impossible for it to happen, I'd still assume the worst in that situation and go crazy.

You guys are a bunch of pussies. I would have been fine. Solitude is actually very soothing, I remember being unlawfully imprisoned for about a week and enjoying the tranquility of it. The only problem I would have had is finding a place to crap because I go about two or three times a day. (high fiber diet)

Also, I've watched too many Hollywood movies. If there was a reason to get out then I would have kept working at trying to escape through the elevator's roof or cutting through that flimsy looking wall on the other side of the doors, which he seemed to give up on pretty quick. The headlines would have read, "Rambo-man escapes from perilous containment, later goes on sex romp with hot chicks."

Stallone Saves Pals Trapped In Elevator

Sylvester Stallone rescued actress Mira Sorvino and his wife Jennifer Flavin from an elevator. Stallone, 55, showed off his legendary muscles when he manually pulled up an elevator which was stuck between floors in Hollywood's new Kodak Theater, where the Academy Awards are being held next month. Sorvino and pregnant Flavin were among a group of people trapped in the backstage elevator at the Entertainment Industry Foundation's Love Rocks gig last Thursday. Stallone pulled off his Armani jacket and was able to lift the heavy load, before prying the doors open to release the elevator's captives. One passenger asked expectant Flavin, "Is he always like this?" to which a proud Flavin replied, "Yes, he is."
