>< Alright, I didn't get a chance to run a spell check through my last post for Cryptic Coalition so some of the thing are misspelled. Thing is that I was rushing around trying to eat and change and all that good stuff so my suggestion is this: Why not up the time to about 10 minutes after the person posts to change it?
I mean I understand that when people edit their posts it screws up the next person in line to post so theres the reason for the 2 minute rule. But couldn't there be something like you have an unlimited time to edit in the In Character forums? I think the OOC forums should remain with the 2 minute rule because there isn't anything really important there and the posts themselves don't matter. But In Character if you post too early or something of that sort I think it should be able to be changed.
Thanks much for reading and sorry if I sound self-centered about this but I don't want to should like a
complete idiot when I post

Thanks again!

I'm not sure why we have an editting limitation in the first place...

>.< from what I heard it was a large pain in the pa-tooy for some people when they post after someone about a subject and then that person going back to change what they said. Making one or the other of the peoples looking like idiots for posting something not even on the topic @_@

Editing used to be non time limit (I didn't even know we had one) but as a result of people having arguments (nobody is smart enough to civily debate anything anymore) there had to be a cap on how long they had to edit.
For example, lets say one guy has a big rant about stuff he dislikes or whatever, then the next person who posts comes back with their feelings, and it comtinues on until I gets really angry, bitter, obscene and breaking down into insulting the opposing statements. People would go back, edit their post so that the arguments after it would be negated OR they would erase it in its entirety because they were to much of a pussy to leave it there for all to see.
People + abusing editing = editing time limit

I completely understand those reasons for putting a stop to that on the OOC boards but why not just let the IC boards go free? I mean some people might have arguements within the OOC boards but if they do something like that in the IC boards then they can be banned because of posting an out of character arguement there. The basic reasoning I want this is because of the post where I forgot to spell check it, then that got me to thinking others might do something alike to what I had done and ask about it. So I wanted to elimenate everyone complaining about the same thing I'm posting about and having it down to a simple debate over the subject here.
And its alright if nothing changes, I just wanted to ask this for future inccidents.

Because it's happen with IC too, Person A makes a post, person B makes their post, Person A goes back and edits in something to give them an advantage in their next post.
There is a limit because some people will abuse it, and we have to take it from everyone because of a few people. :/

I changed it to 5 minutes. I hope that's long enough to proof read if you do it right after you make your post. Maybe you should proof read before you post even.

Also, if you are really concerned about spell check, use microsoft word or some other word processor instead of writing on the board. Once you write it and then spell check you can copy paste it.

I basically type it up on the boards then transfer it over to the Microsoft Word then do spell check there then copy and paste it back over to here. I don't know why but I just like the feeling of typing it up on the boards rather then doing it over some Microsoft owned program.

http://www.spellcheck.net works pretty well too, and you don't have to open word.
