Alright, are we each going to have specific jobs to fulfill, or is this going to be a collaborative project with everyone doing something?
Something like this will be easy to do, but we could use extra time to polish it up.
As for the actual saga itself, it needs to be something easily resolved. It's pretty much an uber-quest meant for a lot of people.
Should we go comical, or serious? Should it be fighting-based, or story-based?
I know I'm offering more questions than answers, but if we get the concept nailed down, we'll have an easier going in the long run.
EDIT: Ooh, I like the Race idea. Perhaps something like "The Amazing Race", where you are forced to pair up with another member of the site?

My basic idea is to have a group sieze Hell and flush everyone out to Heaven. So now we have Dabura captured in Hell, all his minions in Heaven, and everyone in Heaven helping to win back Hell so everything returns to normal.
While an interesting idea, I would think that that would lend itself more toward a large saga, and not a mini-saga. Would something like that easily be resolved in a week-and-a-half?

A competition with a designated day that its all over WOULD be a great way of making sure we dont make something that goes on to long.

The first post of the saga defines the tone. We'll need someone to create an introductory post, to show how the race will be. Maybe something like an announcer blaring information all through the Afterlife, or something like that.
Or, even better, some NPC stapling posters up all over Heaven. In our first post, we?d describe the NPC, the posters, and all of the information detailed upon it. After that, it?s up to the people to roleplay finding one of these posters (such as from King Kai, on a telephone poll, taped in a urinal, anything), and meeting up at the designated starting spot.
Other than that, perhaps some of the obstacles could be ironic, or blantantly parodied from other animes?

The only thing that might go wrong with humor is that people think different things are funny; but action is action. I agree we should put humor in though.

Granted, but sarcasm/irony is universal. Even if they don't consider it worth a chuckle, it would show evidence of a lighter mood.

Yea, we should have humorous elements in there with all the serious sagas going on.

Note that this is simply a rough sketch. It isn?t necessarily meant as a final project, but merely something to build off of. Mostly because it sucks.
Edit it as you see fit.
INTRODUCTORY POST
Cha-chinka. Cha-chinka.
An adolescent boy, with an ancient stapler at hand, just finished nailing a poster into one of the many telephone poles scattered around Heaven. Upon it was written the following words:
---------------------------------------
Musty Marathon!
Mayor Musty is hosting a grand Marathon, across the very lengths of Heaven, Hell, and even the Kai?s Planets! Everyone in the Afterlife is willing to attend. For more information, check at the Newcomer?s Pavilion at Saint Square.
---------------------------------------
Pleased at his work, the boy hopped off toward the Pavilion, ready to see who might turn out for the event.

Comical? Oh no, sir. That's nothing. :-p
As for the Race, does the rest of the team agree with the teams of two idea, as in the Amazing Race?
I think we ought to make the teams random, if we do the teams of two.
Perhaps some kind of customary weights on the feet that keeps the bearer from flying?
Perhaps two distinct starting points, one in Heaven and one in Hell? The racers in Heaven have to reach the starting point in Hell, while the racers in Hell have to reach the starting point in Heaven?
What kind of rewards would we offer?
What can we add to distinguish this from just a regular race? What kind of obstacles can we add? Perhaps we should get permission from the staff to create a separate forum for this saga, temporarily, and make separate topics for each section of the race?

Sounds sexy. As soon as Android 16 and GJ collaborate here, I'll start getting together a few more ideas.

The site is being really slow and refusing my connection occaisionly =(
The two player team idea would have to depend on how many are participating.
Now here's an Idea, and just idea, as it might not work out well:
Make it a real race. There would be a certain obstacles each team would need to overcome. And they would be sort of like the quests for King Kai replacing kaiyoken with the first prize. Ill elaborate.
There would be a set number of obstacles and the team would have to Rp over coming it, but its like a quest in that you need a certain amount and quality of role playing to get past it. Those who arent as good would need to RP more (again like a Quest) than others. Thye first team to pass everything gets first prize, 2nd get second and so on. SO it would literally be a race in real life.

Unfortunately, I don't think that last idea would work. Because of timing, and updating, we'd have to be on 24/7 to make it feasible. We'd have to be ready to grade an Obstacle as soon as it was completed, to ensure fairness.
Either that, or I'm missing something...

Hence, the downside of staying up too late the night before. Sorry about that.
