The problem is, the Nobel Prize is simply a tool used to identify people who have a good balance of both fame and "charity". There are hundreds upon hundreds of people more devoted than Bono, but they will never be recognized because they don't:

A) Have a band.

B) Hold a world office.

C) Thrust themselves at every Television Camera imaginable.

It said he was nominated, they didn't hand him the damn thing yet. Who knows, maybe he'd donate the prize money to some charitable foundation or something. *shrug*
