So I bought God Of War the other day and me and my cousin played it all night. Heres the deal, you're Kratos, a Spartan soldier who offered his soul to Ares to save his life. Ares trains you as the perfect warrior, "Death Incarnate", giving you the Blades of Chaos to help you do his bidding. These things are jagged swords attached to chains which are in turn attatched to your forearms. Anywho, eventually Ares tricks Kratos into killing his family and now you're out to kill him.
In short, that game kicks ass. You can rip undead warriors in half, tear the wings off harpies, jam a sword through a minotaur's head, drive your swords into a guys chest and fling him aroung like a rag doll...damn I love gratutious gore.
If that doesn't get you, you get a huge fucking sword mid way through the game to whip around and hack things to pieces. Buy this game.

8o, Kratos isn't very intelligent then is he? He let someone trick him into killing his own family?
You have to play the game to understand Tien. God of War was a pretty fun game.

Well, he was kinda blinded by bloodlust.
Ok i'll explain. Kratos was ordered by Ares to attack a village near Athens. His army invaded killing the people in the village and burning the buildings. Kratos stopps at a temple built in honor of Athena. He geta a strange feeling from the temple, a sort of foreboding feeling. The village oracle tells Kratos not to enter, as doing to would cause something very bad to happen. Kratos shrugs it off and enters the temple slaughtering the villagers inside without mercy. Kratos snaps out of 'battle-mode' and gazes upon the bodies of the villagers. Among the bodies of the villagers, his wife and child lay in a pool of their own blood, Kratos had killed them.

I rented it and beat it once, but it's awesome. The extras are pretty cool too.

The only Kratos that can possibly be called awesome in my book is the one named Aurion. This gullible gore-guy? No. Cruxis all the way.

Regardless, Master Aurion wins this one.

While an awesome game, I am not a serious gamer and beat it in three days, quite possibly because I did not sleep.
I would force everyone with a PS2 to at least rent it though, you will not be sorry.
