My new computer is, like, not working. It'll start up and ten seconds after I see the desktop it goes to teis blue page with a bunch of writing and then within three seconds it resatarts. Rinse and repeat.

First of all, how do I get to safe mode? Also, any other ideas?

Punting it across the room usually works.

This same exact problem happened to me a few months ago to my laptop, which was a few years old and on it's deathbed for a while. I figured it was just dying, but wanted to see if I could fix it. I ended up getting a digital camera and taking a pic of that blue screen where it said the error, right before the thing would shut off. I had to search for a few days on the internet but found little information that was helpful for the longest time. Eventually there were a few things that seemed to be similiar and I tried a few things, but it still didn't change. I eventually put a windows disc in and I think chose the repair option. Either way after it worked after that and all my stuff was still on my computer, but now I get a few warnings when my desktops loads about missing stuff....not biggie. I guess I am saying: try to repair through a windows installation disc?

Erase, and install. All of your problems are solved.

It can also help to write down what it says in the BSOD and then Googling it. That's how I solve/attempt to solve most of my problems.

I recently installed Age of Empires 3 and ever since my IBM thinkpad's been going slow as hell when I reboot it and 75% of the time, restarts. That's why I haven't turned my P.C. off in a month or two. or three

But yeah, F8 works too.

My laptop was actually doing a bluescreen of death for a while. It seemed to happen whenever several programs were using network adapter and it turns out that the BSOD was telling me that my wireless card sucked and i needed to update the drivers. So much for the auto-updater. Anyway, your problem could be with hardware drivers. Have you installed any new hardware as of late?

Iunno how it got fixed, but my aunt did it. Apparently the disc I was using to install my drivers was trying to put somethin' bad on my computer, so I'm just going to be getting them going some other way.

Even though my audio driver is the only one uninstalled. >.>

I'm actually going to try that since my wireless network constantly craps out on me and recently I've got a few BSODs on my laptop.

Edit: If I can figure out how to do it, yo.

*Deletes post I was going to enter*

I just found out there is a slightly newer version of my card's driver. Intel, like yours. For some reason it would scan for new updates and not find anything, but I checked the actual version number and it didn't match up with the newest version on the Intel site. So yeah, hopefully this will work.

That was exactly how it went for me. Out of curiosity, what brand of laptop are you using? I've got a Toshiba Satellite.

Dell Inspiron 6000. The new driver seems to be installed now. Not much has changed with the juttery connection (though that's to be expected) but hopefully I won't get another BSOD for a while.
